The infamous weapon of the Starman legacy, the Cosmic Staff has been passed down from hero to hero, starting with the Golden Age Starman all the way to its current wielder, Stargirl. Invented by Ted Knight, the Cosmic Staff provides its users with flight, energy manipulation and the ability to create offensive and defensive weapons. It even has a low degree of sentience and can bond with its user, making it a fantastic long or short range weapon. It’s also amazingly intuitive, with it learning and adapting to its current owner, Courtney Whitmore’s, personality.
9 Green Arrow's Trick Arrows
He might get guff for his endless copying of Batman’s gimmicks, but it’s hard to say that Green Arrow’s trick arrows don’t have their own unique feel. After mastering archery, Oliver Queen developed a series of arrows to aid him in his mission of protecting Star City. Not content with regular old arrows, Queen included numerous stylized arrows such as his rope arrow, his flash grenade arrow, and most infamously, his boxing glove arrow. While Oliver gets a lot of mileage out of his many trick arrows, they’re almost useless to anyone who isn’t trained in the art of archery.
8 Aquaman's Trident
When Arthur Curry claims he’s the king beneath the seas, he isn’t lying. By possessing the Trident of Neptune, Aquaman is given absolute rule over the seven seas. If it weren’t enough being the emperor of over seventy percent of the Earth, the trident also offers Arthur several magic-based powers. It allows the wielder to manipulate the water, control the weather, and even direct blasts of energy. The Trident of Neptune is more than just a symbol of Aquaman’s authority over his kingdom, it’s a weapon that makes him the fiercest warrior in the sea.
7 Hawkman's Mace
The continuity of Hawkman may be complex, but one thing that’s certain is that his mace is one of the most intimidating weapons in the DCU. Forged from the mysterious Nth metal, Carter Hall’s infamous mace packs a mean punch while remaining extraordinarily lightweight. Because of the unique material that makes it up, Hawkman’s mace can also absorb and redirect blasts of energy from other sources, as well as completely negate any form of magic it comes into contact with. Whether a scientific or magical foe, few enemies can stand up to a Thanagarian Mace when it comes swinging.
6 Batman's Utility Belt
Bruce Wayne may just be a man, but thanks, in part, to his utility belt, there’s little that can stop him from fighting the worst threats around. The contents of Batman’s utility belt aren’t always consistent, but he’s always got something that can get him out of any jam he comes across. Lasers, batarangs, even anti-shark repellent in some rare instances. The contents of Batman’s utility belt communicate the vast amount of prep-work Batman puts into his mission. 5 Cyborg's Technology
While most other DC heroes have a tool they wield in their crime-fighting, Vic Stone has his weapons integrated directly into him. After an accident almost killed Cyborg, he had nearly his entire body replaced with tech from his father, Dr. Silas Stone, and S.T.A.R Labs, including aspects of a Mother Box. Since then, Cyborg could generate Boom Tubes and go virtually anywhere in the DCU, along with generating fearsome weapons such as a pulse canon. Not to mention his enhancements also gives him a mastery over most other computer-based tech, making him one of the greatest heroes of the 21st century.
4 Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth
It’s no stretch to say that Wonder Woman has one of the most well-known weapons in the DC Universe. Fans all across the world know of the Lasso of Truth’s power. The divine relic comes from the gods themselves and compels whoever is bound by it to tell the truth. Not only that, but the lasso can extend for however long its user needs it to and is virtually unbreakable. Wonder Woman may also have a bullet-proof bracelets or a tiara that can cut Superman’s impenetrable skin, but the lasso is always going to be the weapon she trusts her life with.
3 The Mother Box
The miracle of the Fourth World, the Mother Box is one of the greatest inventions found on either New Genesis or Apokolips. Analogous to sentient computers, the Mother Boxes are capable of accessing the mysterious energy of the Source and are capable of virtually anything. While they’re generally used as means of conveyance via Boom Tube projections, they can allow for telepathic conversation, defy physics and even allow people to heal from grievous injuries or even death. As far as weapons go, the Mother Boxes can do more than anything else on this list.
2 Green Lantern's Power Ring
The Green Lantern’s Power Ring is only suited to a few couple thousand in the entire DCU. But those lucky enough to earn one are given access to something capable of bringing dreams to life. The Power Ring just needs will and creativity for its user to construct anything out of hard light. In addition to making anything they desire, the ring gives its bearer the ability to fly, travel through space, construct wormholes, and translate virtually any language in the galaxy. Truly the only limits of a Green Lantern ring are its user’s imaginations.
1 Doctor Fate's Helmet
As the creation of the Lord of Order Nabu, the Helmet of Fate endows its owner with the most powerful magics in the DC Universe. Though the wearer only wields a fraction of Nabu’s strength, those who serve in the role of Doctor Fate can create force fields, cast powerful spells, and open up portals to anywhere in the DC Universe. The Helmet can likely hold an infinite amount of magic as it was used as a repository for the world’s arcane forces during the Devil Nezha’s assault on the DCU.
