The first official logo for Warner Bros. and DC Films' Shazam! is here. In an effort to further expand the DC movie universe, WB is looking beyond the Justice League. While Aquaman will be the first film to hit theaters post-Justice League, the first DC movie that will show what the studio's new leadership has in mind will be Shazam!. Directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out), Shazam! will tell the tale of young Billy Batson being granted the powers of the superhero Shazam.

Shazam! has previously been described as "Big but with super-powers", and the movie's leaked set photos certainly fall in line with that description. Star Zachary Levi has been spotted multiple times in his Shazam costume on the film's set, now that production is fully underway. Videos have also leaked from the Shazam! set, showing the eponymous superhero in battle with the villainous Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong).

While fans wait to see an official image of Levi in his costume, the first logo for Shazam! has now been revealed by WB and DC. The design is big, bold, and bright, and still manages to include Shazam's lightning bolt in a fun way. Check it out, below:

With the logo now revealed, it could signal the start of Warner Bros. pulling back the veil on Shazam! The reveal came with the tease of a cast interview video from EW tomorrow, which could offer some new details about the film as well. Additionally, that video could be a great opportunity for WB to unveil the official image of Levi in costume. Such a photo would likely have the logo on it, so WB is getting a head-start by unveiling the movie's logo a day ahead.

It was only a matter of time before this logo was revealed. Marketing may still be a few months away from starting in full, but that doesn't prevent WB from starting to promote Shazam! now. DC is expected to have a presence at CinemaCon next month, and if WB goes over their upcoming slate there, this logo would certainly be included. That could be another place for them to reveal the suit, if they don't this week.

At the end of the day, the logo reveal is just the next step in getting Shazam! moving forward. However, big budget movies like Shazam! sometimes cycle through multiple logos by the time the film actually hits theaters. So while people may get attached to this logo, there's no guarantee this will be the final design used when the open hits theaters in April 2019.
