Warning! Spoilers for Green Lantern: Alliance by DC Comics below.

DC Comics is introducing a new member to the Flash-Family, as a new version of Kid Flash will debut in the upcoming young reader's graphic novel, Green Lantern: Alliance. While few details have been revealed about the new Kid Flash, the story will feature her helping Tai Pham against an arsonist who's causing mayhem in Coast City.

Green Lantern: Alliance returns the creative team behind Green Lantern: Legacy. The new chapter in Tai Pham's story will be written by Minh Lê with art by Andie Tong. Pham is one of the newer heroes in the DC Universe, as he was chosen to be the new Green Lantern after the death of his ba, who previously wore the power ring. Recently, Pham reappeared in a heartwarming short story in DC's Festival of Heroes: The Asian Superhero Celebration anthology in a story by Lê, Trung Le Nguyen, and Aditya Bidikar. Up next for Pham is a new adventure where he'll come across the new Kid Flash.

In Green Lantern: Alliance, Pham will continue to learn how to be a hero after being given the great responsibility of being a member of the Green Lantern Corps. He will deal with the same bully who caused him issues in Green Lantern: Legacy, while trying to navigate his school life, personal life, and work at his family's store. The Vietnamese-American hero will go on a mission to stop an arsonist who's causing fires in Coast City, which will lead him right into the path of the new Kid Flash.

The new Kid Flash will offer help in tracking down the arsonist. There aren't many details surrounding the new DC character, but the cover image for Green Lantern: Alliance shows her in costume. She wears a very similar costume to the other Kids Flash's, while sporting a pair of goggles. She also seems to have more armor-like shoulder pads than her predecessors. Read the synopsis for the graphic novel below.

It’s only been a few months since Green Lantern Tai Pham inherited his ring from his ba and defeated his nemesis, Xander Griffin. But Tai knows their last battle was only the beginning—and even though no one believes him, Tai is determined to prove that Xander is up to his old tricks again.

When a string of fires start popping up around Coast City, Tai finds himself stretched thin as he struggles to keep up with school, training, working at the store, and following Xander’s trail. That is, until a new hero, known as Kid Flash, shows up on the scene with an offer to help. Can the heroes find the arsonist before it’s too late?

It's always exciting to see new young heroes in the DC Universe and the newest Kid Flash seems like she'll be an excellent partner for Tai Pham's Green Lantern. Being a young hero by yourself is difficult - now, with the speedster by his side, Pham will learn what it's like to work on a team. Readers should be very excited to see the new Kid Flash. Green Lantern: Alliance will be available in book stores on April 5th, 2022.
