New footage from Black Adam provides introduces Doctor Fate and the Justice Society of America. The DC Extended Universe is set to have its biggest year yet in 2022 as Black AdamThe Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom hit theaters alongside Matt Reeves' The Batman. Dwayne Johnson's debut in Black Adam is among the most anticipated moments for DC fans, as The Rock has been attached to play the DC anti-hero for over a decade. While he was originally meant to debut as the villain in Shazam!, Warner Bros. and DC Films elected to put Johnson at the forefront of a solo movie instead.

The first look at Black Adam arrived during DC FanDome 2021, as the footage showed glimpses of the character's origin and his re-awakening in the modern day. One of the movie's elements that weren't featured in this footage, though, was the inclusion of the Justice Society of AmericaBlack Adam will introduce the new DCEU superhero team with Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell). Details on their roles in the movie are unclear, but they seem to factor heavily into the present setting of Black Adam.

As part of a DCEU 2022 trailer released by Warner Bros., new Black Adam footage provides a better look at the movie. This includes showing teases of Black Adam's origin as the savior of the fictional country of Kahndaq and the role his son played. But, the highlight for Black Adam's new footage is the live-action debut of the DCEU's Justice Society. The first looks at each member in costume and in action is featured in the exciting trailer, which can be seen below:

Thanks to this new Black Adam footage, DC fans finally have the opportunity to see the Justice Society in action like never before. The trailer only offers brief looks at each of the characters, but they each get a moment to shine. Atom Smasher's giant form as he runs through a city offers a glimpse of how he'll change the scale of the movie. Hawkman is shown standing in the street with rubble all around, teasing a JSA fight that must have occurred. Doctor Fate's incredible powers aren't featured yet, but he is shown trying to recruit Black Adam to their cause. Similarly, Cyclone's powers are not on display at this point in the marketing.

With several months to go before Black Adam is released in theaters, this brief look at the movie should only increase excitement. Although Dwayne Johnson is a huge movie star, it long remained unclear why exactly Black Adam was getting a solo movie, and how it would connect to the rest of the DCEU. If this trailer is any indication, the Justice Society of America are set to make a huge splash in the movie. Fans can now expect the eventual first proper Black Adam trailer to offer an even greater look at how they are involved, too.
