The Batman: Arkham video game series stands out as one of the most well-executed games of all time for the Dark Knight. While the story came to an end with Arkham Knight, fans have been eager and also curious as to why Rocksteady hasn’t committed to making more DC-based games in the style of the Arkham games. From the detailed game design, the mechanics, the deep storytelling and the constant expansion that those Batman games had, it’s a shocker that other DC heroes haven’t gotten their own Rocksteady-based game at this point.

While rumors have been circulating for years that Superman is supposedly getting one, nothing has come from it. However, given the great reception behind their Batman series, it’s only a matter of time before Rocksteady begins to explore other DC characters. Whether they’d set it in the Arkham-universe remains to be seen though. With that said, these are 10 DC characters that should get their own Batman Arkham-style video game.

Nightwing

Following the end of Arkham Knight, Dick Grayson is still operating as Nightwing after Bruce’s final act. Even though he has appeared in the other games, Dick has yet to lead his own game. If there are ways to keep the Arkham-universe alive, Nightwing is someone that they should 100% consider basing a game around.

It could either follow his early days as Nightwing or take place after the latest game to find out what happens to Bruce’s first former Boy Wonder. There are so many possibilities that a Nightwing game could explore.

Batwoman

Similarly to Nightwing, there are so many Bat-family characters that could keep the Arkham continuity alive. While she never directly appeared in the series, Bruce’s cousin Kate Kane a.k.a. Batwoman had an Easter egg in the last game.

Given the character having her own TV series currently, it would be perfect timing to get Kate her own video game in the Arkham world. How does she deal with her cousin no longer being in the picture?

Green Arrow

With the Emerald Archer having had such a big presence in the media, Green Arrow is another great candidate to base a game around. Since Arrow was as gritty as it was, some of its tones could be the perfect inspiration to pull from if Oliver Queen ever had his own video game in the style of Rocksteady.

Given that he is an archer, it would be fascinating to see how the game developers would design the archery technique for the player. But either way, a Green Arrow video game could do so much, especially if they include some of his iconic allies and foes.

Black Canary

Regardless if Green Arrow got his own game or not, his famous partner and Birds of Prey founder Black Canary is also someone worth designing a game around. Whether it’s tied with Green Arrow or just following Dinah Laurel Lance on her own journey, a superhero with a sonic scream would genuinely so much fun to play around with.

It could also be a way to incorporate some Birds of Prey elements with characters like Huntress and Oracle.

Robin III (Tim Drake)

Another Bat-family member that made it into the Arkham series was the third Robin: Tim Drake. Similarly to Dick, a game based on the current Boy Wonder has several options it could take.

It could potentially follow his early days as Robin which is a way to bring back Batman since the story would be a prequel to the other games. But it could also be set post-Arkham Knight as Tim continues the legacy without Bruce.

Aquaman

In the last few years, Aquaman has become an even bigger deal thanks to the current movie iteration and the direction they are taking him in the comics.  If Arthur Curry got the Rocksteady treatment, imagine how incredible doing missions in Atlantis would be, visually.

Depending on the story, a game centered on the iconic ocean hero would be a creative challenge if it takes primarily place in Atlantis.

Green Lantern

With the massive mythology that is the Green Lantern universe, this is one of the heroes where it’s even more shocking how Rocksteady hasn’t tried to do a game based on the Emerald Knight. From Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Simon Baz to Jessica Cruz, there are so many characters to choose from, story-wise.

Something that would be quite ambitious for Rocksteady is if they make a Green Lantern Corps game where all of them are featured. Whether it’s to allow the player to choose their Lantern before beginning the story or done in a different way, this would be a massive effort to pull off if they considered Green Lantern.

The Flash

The Flash Speedsters

Similarly to Green Arrow and Batwoman, The Flash is another hero that is having a big spotlight in the media, primarily through the Grant Gustin-led series. Just like with Green Lantern, Speedster mythology consist of several amazing heroes like Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, Wally West, Bart Allen and more.

No matter who they would go with, a Flash video game through the Rocksteady treatment would make the Scarlet Speedster look more than amazing as a game.

Wonder Woman

As one member of the DC Trinity had his run of Rocksteady games, there are still two others that are due for their own game. Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman, with such large mythology of stories and villains, has some of the strongest potentials if she got her own solo game.

Imagine seeing Themyscira through a Rocksteady design as well as Diana's powers in action. With so much detail that the Arkham games got, there is no doubt that it would look incredible to see how they pulled off the iconic Amazonian heroine.

Superman

With so many heroes that are worthy of getting an Arkham-style game, the Man of Steel has probably earned it the most. Since he is the crown jewel of the DC Universe, Superman definitely is someone that would rock through a Rocksteady-based game.

From all the villains he has to the many impacting stories Kal-El has gone through, seeing that in a series of games would make it one of Superman's best runs in media.
