The Year Kicks Off With The World's Finest Birthdays

Superman Green Lantern and Batman Birthday DC Comics

January is absolutely stacked with significant dates, with the Spectre's birthday falling on the 3rd and Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta on the 8th. Gorilla Grodd came in to the world on the 13th while one of his nemeses, Wally West, was born on the 16th. Doctor Fate celebrates his big day on the 17th and the Freedom Fighters' Human Bomb was born on the 18th. On the 22nd, no one's more ready to be spun around for "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" than Flash enemy, the Top. The defeat of Shazam would make the 25th absolutely perfect for Dr. Sivana. And the lovely couple of Aquaman and Mera celebrate two birthdays nearly back-t0-back, with Arthur's on the 29th and Mera's on the 31st.

The month of love starts with Metamorpho's big day which falls on the 9th while Vigilante celebrates his own on the 10th. Centuries from now, Cosmic Boy will be born on the 11th and the evil Reverse Flash will come into the world on the 18th. What does a man who has everything want for his birthday? A good question for Batman when the 19th comes around. Green Lantern Hal Jordan's probably a lot easier to shop for which is good since his birthday is immediately after on the 20th. Unfortunately, Superman only gets to celebrate his birthday once every four years, with his birthday falling on the 29th, aka Leap Day.

March's first special day belongs to Aquaman's longtime partner, Tempest, on the 6th. Flash Rogue Heat Wave prefers to light his own birthday candles on the 13th while Catwoman's more inclined to steal her own presents on the 14th. Justice Leaguers Flash and Wonder Woman almost share a birthday with Barry being born on the 19th and Diana coming to life on the 22nd. Speaking of Flash, another Rogue, the Trickster, was born on the 23rd. Daxamite Mon-El celebrates on the 27th, and on the 28th, it's the Freedom Fighters' Ray Terrill's day to relax. Closing out the month and the first quarter of the year is Hawkman, who celebrates his big day on the 30th.

Spring Belongs To The Heroes

Zatanna Hawkgirl Jay Garrick DC Comics

Who better to start off April than the interdimensional prankster Mr. Mxyzptlk, who was born on April Fools Day. The JSA's Flash, Jay Garrick, was born on the 3rd and the Freedom Fighters' Doll Man was born on the 4th. Thankfully on the 10th, others sing Black Canary "Happy Birthday" rather than the other way around. And, hopefully, the Rogues throw a party for Mirror Master the 19th. Capping off the month is Donna Troy who, despite her complicated history, always celebrates on the 26th.

Superman's creepiest villain, Parasite, has the earliest birthday in May on the 3rd and Freddy Freeman celebrates his birthday with the rest of the Shazam family on the 7th. The Creeper's special day falls on the 8th while fellow hero of the night, Doctor Mid-Nite, has a birthday on the 18th. On the 19th, Captain Boomerang is probably taking in a few libations to honor his big day. And on the 20th, Zatanna is almost certainly performing her own tricks at her birthday party. Instead of solving cases, the Elongated Man probably spends the 26th with his special gal, Sue.

June is a bit sparse on notable birthdays, but that doesn't mean the 4th is any less important to Flash Rogue, the Weather Wizard. Piñata's everywhere better look out once Hawkwoman pulls out the mace on the 19th. And the last birthday for the first half of the year belongs to the Pied Piper, who was born on the 22nd.

But Summer Is For The Villains

Lex Luthor Penguin The Joker DC Comics

While this quarter has the least amount of notable birthdays, July kicks off with a big one with the Freedom Fighters' Uncle Sam on, what else, the 4th. Johnny Thunder was born on the 7th and the Atom's special day is on the 9th. Two notable villains, Doctor Alchemy and the Penguin have their big days on the 20th and the 26th, respectively. Rounding out the month is the war hero Sgt. Rock, who was born on the 31st. August is also light on birthdays, but it starts with a doozy. Fans may not know the Joker's elusive past, but one thing's for certain, his birthday is on the 1st! Kid Eternity celebrates on the 6th and the scant month ends with Plastic Man's birthday on the 29th.

September is similarly scarce but, on the 12th of September, the JSA's most ferocious member, Wildcat, celebrates his big day. Two notable heroes have back-to-back celebrations with Supergirl's birthday on the 22nd and Batgirl's on the 23rd. Ending the third quarter of the year is Lex Luthor who, even on the 28th, doesn't take off from his plans to end the Man of Steel.

The Year Ends As Iconic As It Began

Nightwing Green Arrow and Green Lantern Birthday DC Comics

The last quarter of the year starts off strong with Green Lantern Alan Scott's big day on October 2nd. He's not the only Lantern to shine as John Stewart's birthday falls on the 17th. It's also "fair play" for Mister Terrific to indulge in a bit of cake on the 20th.

November's first birthday belongs to the multifaceted Roy Harper, who celebrates on the 1st. Two JSA members nearly share a birthday with Sandman's falling on the 3rd and Hourman's on the 5th. While he may not have a pulse now, Deadman was born on the 6th. The 10th belongs The Legion of Super-Hero's Lightning Lad. DC's biggest heartthrob, Nightwing, better watch out for birthday pinches on the 11th. The 16th is the day the creepy Batman villain, Scarecrow, came into the world. And if birthdays are even acknowledged in the apocalyptic future, Kamandi would celebrate his on the 21st. Speaking of the future, the 22nd will one day be Flash enemy Abra Kadabra's special day. The month comes to an end with one more futuristic birthday as Saturn Girl celebrates on the 23rd.

The calendar year comes to a close in December which kicks off with Adam Strange's big day on the 3rd. He might need a coin to decide what he wants, but Two-Face will be expecting a present on the 7th. Green Arrow lets loose on the 9th with cake and chili and the coolest birthday of all goes to Captain Cold who was born on the 11th. The Shazam Family has double the fun with Billy Batson and Mary Marvel's shared birthday on the 23rd. And capping off the year is the future birthday of Brainiac 5 on the 30th.

And there you have it. Granted, the information in the calendar was Pre-Crisis, and this list doesn't include every birthday. But curious fans can finally discover if they share a birthday with their favorite Justice League character.
