Despite the fact that DC Fandome gave the fans several trailers for upcoming video games and movies, answering some questions that fans had been wondering for months, there are still several questions that have become even more burning since the DC Fandome event.

Answered: New Flash Suit

The Flash in the Speed Force in Zack Snyder's Justice League

News of the Flash movie has been exciting fans of the DCEU for weeks. First came the news that Michael Keaton would be reprising the role of Batman for the movie, then came the news that Ben Affleck would also be returning in a substantial role.

While few details were given as to what Affleck will be doing in the movie, it was confirmed that the Flash’s new suit will be given to him by Affleck’s Batman.

Didn’t: Amber Heard’s Future

The news surrounding the court case between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has been making headlines around the world lately, with details from the case potentially having an impact on both actors’ futures.

Despite appearing in the Snyder Cut trailer, Amber Heard wasn’t mentioned at all on the Aquaman panel at Fandome. Does this mean that she will or will not be returning for the second movie?

Answered: Gotham Knights’ Conceit

Since 2015, fans have been waiting to see what the next Batman game is going to be. While many expected Warner Bros Montreal to release a game in the Arkham Universe, they surprised fans entirely by announcing a game that exists outside of the Arkham Universe.

Gotham Knights showed that players will control members of the Batfamily, with Bruce Wayne presumed dead. As hinted at by the promotional material, the Court of Owls is also set to make an appearance.

Didn’t: Steve Trevor

Steve Trevor was tragically killed in Wonder Woman, but this hasn’t stopped the character from appearing in the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Not only is this strange because the character died, but also because the sequel is set some 60 years after the first.

Fans have been speculating as to why the character has returned and the trailers so far are yet to give any clues as to why this is the case.

Answered: Bloodsport

Suicide Squad Roll Call Idris Elba Bloodsport

Fans had been speculating about how Idris Elba would play in Suicide Squad since the British actor was cast. Fans had generally believed that Elba would either be played a recast version of Deadshot or Bronze Tiger.

However, the DC Fandome event finally gave fans the answers they had been craving. Idris Elba is actually set to play the Robert DuBois version of Bloodsport.

Didn’t: Harley Quinn Season 3

Fans had been holding out hope that the DC Fandome event would be a perfect time for a third season to be announced, but no such news would come. Fans will have to wait longer to find out if the show has been given the green light for season 3.

Answered: Evil Superman

Suicide Squad Superman

Speculation surrounding Rocksteady’s next project has been rife for years. In addition to the Suicide Squad idea that turned out to be true, rumors suggested that they were working on a Superman game or a Justice League game.

The game trailer showed that, as per the teaser poster, the Suicide Squad would be hunting Superman. The trailer, though, went one step further and showed that they’ve been tasked with the job as Superman has turned evil, presumably mind-controlled by Brainiac.

Didn’t: TDK

Suicide Squad Nathan Fillion TDK (1)

Fans have been speculating for months about who will make up James Gunn’s Suicide Squad team. Fans found that Bloodsport, the Thinker, and Polka Dot Man are some of the new additions to the team. However, one other new addition doesn’t really have a history in DC Comics, TDK.

This lack of history has led fans to believe that he is actually another DC character in disguise, Arm Fall Off Boy. The helmet of TDK and Arm Fall Off Boy looks similar, helping fans draw this conclusion.

Answered: The Batman’s Tone

Batman is always seen as a dark character, with the Caped Crusader often battling some of the more grounded enemies in comics. However, a movie could take one of two ways: it could either take the Nolan route or the more ‘comic book’ route, showing Batman battling cosmic villains.

Didn’t: King Shark’s Voice

Suicide Squad Roll Call King Shark

The Suicide Squad panel revealed a lot about the upcoming movie, showing the tone it is going to have and helping to build up hype, with James Gunn revealing that the film is the biggest he has ever made.

While several questions were answered, one was left devastatingly unanswered - who is voicing King Shark? Taika Waititi is attached to the film in an unspecified role, so some fans have speculated that he will be lending his voice to the character.
