Dragon Ball Z is one of the most beloved pop culture series of all time, as the manga and anime have attracted fans across the globe. It turns out one of the biggest admirers of Dragon Ball is a hero from DC Comics, who's fandom confirmed Goku exists in the DC Comics universe.

While fans will likely never get the chance to see Goku fight against Superman in a battle between two of the strongest fictional characters ever, they can find comfort in knowing that the Dragon Ball Z hero exists in the same universe as the Man of Steel. Clark Kent and Lois Lane's son Jon is a big fan of Dragon Ball Z - evident by the posters in his room that not so subtly hint at Goku existing within the pages of DC Comics.

In Super Sons #1 by Peter J. Tomasi, Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sanchez, and Rob Leigh, Damian Wayne breaks into Jon's room while he's trying to sleep. The two pint-sized heroes decide to investigate some strange going-on at Lex Corp, but before the duo head off to check it out, Lois checks in on her son after hearing some noise. When she calls on Jon at his door, you can see the silhouette of Goku on a poster on the wall. It's clearly Goku, as the silhouette of his hair matches up perfectly with how he's drawn/animated.

You can see an even brighter shot of the picture in this panel. If you need further convincing that Dragon Ball Z exists in the DC universe, a recent issue of The Flash featured Pied Piper trying to fix Barry Allen's connection to the Speed Force, warning him that anytime he overuses his speed, he runs the risk of going "Super Saiyan." It's no surprise to see comics reference manga and vice versa, as the two clearly are influenced by one another.

Jon Kent being a fan of Goku and the Dragon Ball Z series is more than just a cool cameo, it makes him more believable as a kid. Kids that are Kent's age would definitely have a picture of Goku in their room, even if their father was Superman. It's a nice nod to the Dragon Ball Z series and one that confirms that even in a universe with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, Goku exists too.
