The first official trailer for DC's Blue Beetle movie gets teased by the cast in a new group photo. While the DCEU is on its way out, a few more films are arriving this year from the old regime. One of them is the highly-anticipated Blue Beetle movie. Xolo Maridueña stars as the DC hero, Jaime Reyes, while Angel Manuel Soto directed the film. Blue Beetle is making history as it will be the first superhero film to star a Latino lead. The story follows the titular hero discovering an alien scarab that forever changes his life. Blue Beetle will also be the first DC film to come out after The Flash's major reset to the DC Universe.

According to DC Studios' James Gunn, Blue Beetle could potentially connect to the new DC Universe. Thus far, DC Studios have remained coy about whether or not Blue Beetle will play into the new franchise.

Several cast members recently got together with the director as George Lopez shared a new group photo on Instagram. However, Lopez also teased in the caption that the Blue Beetle trailer "is "coming soon," without giving any time frame.

When Will The Blue Beetle Movie Trailer Release?

Since Blue Beetle arrives in August, marketing would have to start fairly soon. At this point, there has only been concept art and a teaser poster released for the film. Given that Shazam! Fury of the Gods has just arrived in theaters; The Flash will likely be the studio's next focus. However, there is one event in particular that Warner Bros. may use to promote Blue Beetle.

CinemaCon is happening between April 25-27, with The Flash movie getting screened during the Las Vegas event. With Warner Bros. Discovery definitely being there, it wouldn't be shocking if they debuted the first Blue Beetle trailer there. It would make sense to even preview it in front of The Flash to build up the hype. At that point, Blue Beetle would be less than four months away from its theatrical release.

If a teaser gets revealed at CinemaCon, San Diego Comic-Con may be where they drop the official Blue Beetle trailer. What will be interesting to see is if the Blue Beetle franchise ultimately ties into the new DC Universe. Depending on its success, time will tell if Blue Beetle leads to more adventures for Jaime.
