Vader has faced a lot of powerful opponents, and one of them even looked like Predator, but few have proved to be as much of a worthy match as what the hunter from Youtja Prime would be. The two are complete opposites in every way, as one of them acts on their deadly decisions, whereas the other was born to kill, but they both have specific skill sets that make them surprisingly evenly matched.

Though fans argue that Darth Vader deserves his own movie, what better movie would there be than a crossover that pits two of the most iconic villains in cinema history against one another? But between the force and Predator’s terrifying capabilities, who would win is hard to say.

Darth Vader: Passion

Being the faceless embodiment of evil is one of the reasons Vader is the perfect villain, but behind that mask is a surprising amount of passion too. Where Predator is born to hunt, Vader has a burning passion to destroy entire planets, and he is driven by that very sense of purpose. If Predator and Vader were completely evenly matched in terms of weaponry and strength, Vader would win from his sheer passion. However, it can be a blessing and a curse, as that very passion has led the villain to make his biggest mistakes.

Predator: Tactical Thinking

Vader might be passionate, but of the two iconic villains, Predator is clearly more methodical and tactical in the way it goes about hunting its prey. Instead of going straight in, guns-blazing, Predator takes its time by hiding in the shadows, learning its prey’s patterns, and it even has some powers that help. Predators are able to hide with a cloaking device, and they’re even equipped with heat detection, so Vader wouldn’t see Predator coming even if it was right in front of him.

Darth Vader: The Empire

Vader has a whole legion of followers, not to mention his backing from Emperor Palpatine. Whether it’s storm troopers or drones, there are giant armies and swarms of machines that would come after the Predator first.

And even when the Predator takes the hundreds of thousands of enemies down, there are still other superweapons at Vader’s disposal that he can operate from the comfort of his own dome. But similarly, the fight wouldn’t exactly be fair if it was set on Yautja Prime either.

Predator: Artillery

Vader might be equipped with a lightsaber, but that isn’t going to get him very far in a fight against one of the most fearful hunters in the galaxy. Vader isn’t even that good in lightsaber fights, as it’s part of the reason why half of his limbs are missing. Whereas Predator has a whole slew of weapons and gadgets to slice and dice Anakin all over again. Predator is equipped with a shoulder cannon that fires plasmablasts, a spear, bladed discs, and even drones.

Darth Vader: Telepathy

One edge Vader has over Predator is his special powers. Without its blades or any of its gadgets, there’s little else Predator has, but Vader is able to literally get inside of Predator’s head with telepathy. However, even if Vader is able to communicate with the monster telepathically, it could very well prove useless. Even Vader is known to be empathetic, as there are a few nice things that Vader actually did, but the Predator is a straight-up cold-blooded hunter, so trying to convince or manipulate it in any way could be a struggle.

Predator: Not Limited By Its Armor

There might be a lot about Vader’s appearance that you didn’t know, but the one thing for sure is that it certainly holds him back in combat, as the character has to literally turn his whole body just to look at somebody. On the flip side, Predator is completely agile, and all of its blade riddled armor is barely even a hindrance to the monster. So if it came completely down to combat without the use of the force, Predator would run circles around Vader.

Darth Vader: He Has A Fricking Death Star

Predator might have a ton of artillery strapped to its body, but if Vader wanted, he could destroy Yautja Prime, the predators’ home planet, before the fight even starts. Vader has a Death Star, and even when the first one blows up, the villain is so determined that he immediately gets to work on a beta version. Though, if Predator ever boarded the Death Star, it’d pick off Vader’s followers in no time, and it’d make for an incredible new version of Alien.

Predator: Combat Skills

Darth Vader proved that he is a force to be reckoned with in any arena in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, as the villain wreaked havoc inside a hallway and sliced dozens of rebels into pieces. It was one of the most horrifying moments in a Star Wars movie, but it’s nothing compared to what Predator can do.

Sometimes the alien doesn’t even need all the weapons that are attached to it, as it’s also known to have super strength. On top of that, Predators can take more pain than Sith lords too, as they’ve been seen to soak up bullets and blades and get out unscathed.

Darth Vader: Force Choke

Though Vader could seemingly kill anybody with the force choke and it’s used in one of the coolest Darth Vader scenes, the villain is very selective about when he uses it. Adding to that, he has never been seen doing it to any creature outside of his own species, meaning that he might not be able to force choke different aliens, thus leading to Vader being incapable of force choking Predator. But if Vader can force choke Predator, it’d be the shortest game of cat and mouse ever.

Predator: Can Self Detonate

The Predator Mandibles

Between the legions of armies in his command, owning and operating a planet-sized weapon, and being able to use the force, it’s a no brainer who would win a fight between Darth Vader and Predator. However, just like Vader has the force choke, Predator has an ace up his sleeve too. Predator has the ability to self detonate, and if it did that in the vicinity of Vader, the faceless embodiment of evil would be blown to smithereens, but so would Predator. In that situation, it’s probably best to chalk it up to a draw.
