Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Darth Vader #29The new issue of Darth Vader confirms that the Dark Lord of the Sith has been destroying generations of the same family for decades. An atrocity that began during Anakin Skywalker's early corruption in Revenge of the Sith, Darth Vader continued to plague the Techno Union and its leaders for years afterward. Particularly when it comes to Wat Tambor and his descendants, the Dark Lord ensured the destruction of his entire family legacy.

During the events of Revenge of the Sith, Anakin became Darth Vader in the service of Palpatine, becoming the primary instrument of the Jedi Purge that paved the way for the rise of the Empire at the end of the Clone Wars. However, Vader was then dispatched to the world of Mustafar to destroy the remaining Separatist leaders. This included Foreman Wat Tambor of the Techno Union, a major commerce guild that publicly professed its galactic neutrality (while supporting the Droid Army in reality).

Following the death of Wat Tambor, the new Darth Vader #29 from Greg Pak and Luke Ross reveals that the Techno Union was eventually assimilated by the Empire after the Dark Lord was dispatched to kill a collection of loyalists on Skako Minor who attempted to resist Imperial control. This included Tambor's son Wat Tambor II who had taken over as Foreman. However, this new issue also debuts Jul Tambor, a pirate who's risen to free Skako Minor from the Empire, confirmed to be Wat Tambor's grandson. However, it seems as though Jul has been murdered as well by the issue's end, suffering the same fate as his father and grandfather.

Darth Vader Is Responsible For Another Tambor Death In Star Wars

Darth Vader and Techno Union Tambor Family

Following the orders of Darth Vader, it seems as though Sabé chose to kill Jul rather than subject Skako Minor to the suffering that would inevitably result from Tambor's ongoing resistance. Wanting to save the world from Vader's wrath, Sabé reasoning means the Dark Lord might as well have pulled the trigger himself. As such, Darth Vader is officially responsible for the death of multiple generations of Tambors.

Unless Jul has a son himself who grows up to seek vengeance, Darth Vader has effectively wiped out the entire Tambor bloodline. It's certainly a dark testament to his sinister career as a Sith Lord that began so soon after his corruption to the dark side of the Force. Darth Vader #29 is on sale now from Marvel Comics.
