The Man in Black received his own Funko figure, and the Gunslinger followed. Now, it's not much of a jump to say that 2017 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for Stephen King fans, with not just Andrés Muschietti's IT set to hit theaters later this year, but also director Nikolaj Arcel's highly-anticipated adaptation of The Dark Tower. Starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey in the lead roles of Roland Deschain/The Gunslinger and the villainous Man in Black, the film will be the first in what is shaping up to be a very ambitious live-action endeavor in bringing The Dark Tower book series to life on the big screen.

After months and months of waiting, with only some exciting images and casting announcements to keep them going too, fans finally got to see the first trailer for The Dark Tower a few weeks ago. While it didn't give fans much of a better idea of just how much The Dark Tower film reworks the timeline and characters from the books, it did give them their first real taste of what they can expect from the adaptation, including the powers and skills of Elba's Gunslinger.

There are only a few more months to go until The Dark Tower is finally released in theaters, and in anticipation of the release, some of the merchandise for the film is slowly beginning to be revealed online. Today's reveal offers fans their first look at the special Dark Tower Funko POP! figures, which include one of Elba's Gunslinger with his pistols drawn and one where they're not, and one of McConaughey's Man in Black. Check out the images for yourself down below:

With The Dark Tower hitting theaters in the first week of August, Funko's announcement teases that these figures will become available sometime in July, in the final weeks before the film's release. Like with all of the Funko figures too, each figure has both the look and special details of the characters down to a fine tee; including even the bullets in The Gunslinger's belt, and how the Man in Black always looks like he's about to cast a spell with his hands.

The battle between McConaughey and Elba in the film is, without a doubt, The Dark Tower's biggest selling point, and as such, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that these two would be the first figures from the film that are released. So while neither of these figures reveal any new details about the movie or really offer much variance from the usual Funko formula, they will still no doubt be necessary additions to any Stephen King fan's collection nonetheless.
