Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance - Best Stats and Feats for Bruenor
Bruenor is one of the strongest characters in the game and is capable of some of the highest amount of DPS if the player plays him correctly. The first step to doing this is figuring out the best stats to increase which will boost specific skills and abilities for Bruenor. Since he is mostly focused on dealing as much damage as possible players should boost the Strength attribute first and foremost. This will increase the damage of his abilities more than anything else.
After this, the player should also put points into Intelligence as well. This will lower the cooldown rate of the majority of Bruenor's abilities, and allow him to use them more often. Additionally, the character is built for shrugging off damage so they will want to pump points into Constitution as well. This will make the character more of a tank overall and able to take damage. The other stats however can be dropped for the most part.
The player can also acquire a few feats that will help them by boosting their skills and bonuses in different ways. There are three different categories that the player can choose feats from, and each one will have specific types of skills inside of them. The three categories are:
The Forge
Abilities in this category are based on stamina and ability cooldowns. Players should invest in this group of feats in order to be able to attack their enemies more often. The best feats to select are:
- Athletic - This feat will make evading and dodging attacks cost 15% less stamina
- Endurance - This one grants a 10% bonus to maximum stamina
- Keen Mind - With this feat acquired the player will reduce cooldowns by 15%.
The Hammer
Everything in this category will boost the Bruenor's damage capabilities by a considerable amount. Players who want to deal as much damage as possible will want to pull feats from this category. The best feats to acquire here are:
- Dungeon Delver - This one will grant a 15% damage bonus against Elite enemies.
- Battle Master - Every time that the player blocks an attack they will be granted a 15% damage bonus for five seconds.
- Inspiring Leader - This feat will grant a 5% damage bonus to the player and all of their allies.
The Anvil
The final category needs to be used to boost Bruenor's defense and damage-taking abilities. The character is once again very good at taking a hit, and these feats will make that even more apparent. The best feats that the player will acquire here are:
- Shield Master - This will increase the cost of stamina from abilities by 15%
- Heavy Armor Master - This feat will grant a 25% armor bonus for the player.
- Indomitable - Whenever the player drops below 40% health they will gain a 30% Armor Bonus.

Once the player has selected all of the feats and stats that their character needs they will then need to move on to armor and weapons. These are best used as a full set, due to the fact that each set comes with special abilities and stat increases. The more pieces of a set that the player is wearing will determine what kinds of bonuses the player will receive and how strong they are as well. There are many different armor and weapon sets that the player can choose from, but there are just some that are far more powerful than others. Here are the best sets for the player to get their hands on:
Coldstone Guardian
The upside to having this set in their possession is that the player can greatly decrease the amount of damage that they take from enemy attacks. The Coldstone Guardian set is centered around physical damage reductions. This means that when wearing three or five pieces of the overall set the player will receive a 10% and 15% reduction in physical damage received. With eight pieces however the player will be able to make their Whirlwind ability last twice as long as normal and be completely invulnerable to damage during the duration. There is a higher chance of this set dropping during the course of The Fury of Icewind.
Duergar Infiltrator
However, it is also just as important to think about the amount of damage that the player is dealing to enemies as well. The biggest problem with that is that some enemies have strong armor that can be difficult to break through. The Duergar Infiltrator set will allow the player to pierce through enemy armor much easier. While wearing three or five pieces of the set the player will gain a 10% and 20% bonus to armor penetration. When wearing all eight pieces though the player's Anvil of Clangeddin attack will completely ignore enemy armor when attacking monsters. This set has a higher likelihood of dropping in Verbeeg Jamboree.
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance - All Of The Best Moves and Abilities for Bruenor
Once everything else has been handled the player can then decide the best moves and abilities for Bruenor to use. Many of his abilities will grant him and his allies with buffs or can inflict debuffs on their enemies as well. Here are the best moves for the player to get their hands on:
- Warsong - This will inflict a heavy amount of stamina destruction on an enemy and also has a 75% chance of gaining Vampiric and Thorns. Thorns will allow the player to deal damage to any enemies who get close to them, while Vampiric will actually steal health from enemies when the player deals damage.
- Whirlwind - This allows the player to spin around to deal damage and then applies Slowed and Sapped to any enemy that is hit. Slowed will decrease an enemies speed over time and Sapped will reduce their stamina over time as well.
- Anvil of Clangeddin - This ability will deal AOE fire damage to any nearby enemies, but if allies step into this AOE attack they will also gain a fiery buff to their weapons as well. This allows all characters to deal more damage overall.
- Steel Launcher - For every hit that the player scores they will reduce their ability cooldown by 3%. There will also be a 50% chance of inflicting Sapped on any enemies that get hit.
- Rising Axe - This will inflict stamina damage and also has a 50% chance to grant resistance to physical damage. There is also a 50% chance of inflicting Slowed on enemies.
