If Daredevil gets a season 4 on Disney+, there are several lingering questions from the Netflix series that a revival needs to answer. Daredevil debuted in 2015 on Netflix and it was the most popular of the streaming service's Marvel series. Daredevil ran for three seasons on Netflix before it was canceled in 2018, but fans still clamor for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock to officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rumors have surrounded Daredevil joining the MCU ever since the character's rights were acquired by Marvel Studios from Netflix. Since the blind vigilante's home base is New York City, many fans expect Daredevil to make an appearance in the multiverse-spanning Spider-Man: No Way Home, although Charlie Cox has publicly denied his involvement. Meanwhile, Hawkeye on Disney+ will also be set in New York City as Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) takes on a new archer protege, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). Hawkeye is also set to introduce a new MCU heroine named Echo (Alaqua Cox), and rumors abound that Daredevil's arch-nemesis, Wilson Fisk AKA the Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), will be a villain. Echo is also slated to get a Disney+ spinoff that fans believe could involve Daredevil, teaming up the blind hero Matt Murdock with the deaf heroine, Maya Lopez. Finally, She-Hulk is also coming to Disney+ and will be about Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), who is an attorney. This could be a natural fit for Matt Murdock to slot into the MCU as well.

With so many options for the potential debut of Daredevil in the MCU, the fans' demand for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and his fellow cast members to officially join Disney+'s Marvel universe is understandable. If it did happen, and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) also joined the MCU in Daredevil season 4, many questions would naturally follow, especially if a Daredevil revival isn't a reboot. If an MCU-based Daredevil season 4 continued the story established in Netflix's Daredevil seasons 1-3, or even if the characters simply transitioned into the MCU, here are the biggest questions that need to be answered.

Were Any Of Daredevil's Cast Killed By Thanos' Snap?

Daredevil Charlie Cox Return Karen Page Foggy Nelson SR

Thanos' (Josh Brolin) snap in Avengers: Infinity War and Smart Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) subsequently bringing everyone the Mad Titan killed back to life five years later in Avengers: Endgame, changed the MCU. It also created the predominant question of who died in the Snap because being Blipped back to life means they're five years younger than they should be since the current MCU timeline is set in the year 2024. Since Daredevil was more or less happening in "real-time" on Netflix, the series took place from 2015-2018. This means if Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and his cast formally join the MCU (or were acknowledged to have been part of the MCU all along), they also could have been dead from 2018-2023 depending on who, if anyone, died in the Snap.

Did Nelson, Murdock & Page's Law Firm Happen?

Daredevil season 3 ended with Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page finally reunited. Matt was estranged from his best friends after he was believed dead following the events of The Defenders. When Foggy and Karen realized Matt was not only alive but back as Daredevil taking on Wilson Fisk again, they were angry at him for staying away from them, but once they worked together and took down the Kingpin, all was forgiven.

Although they hadn't all worked together since Daredevil season 2 when the original Nelson & Murdock law firm collapsed, Foggy proposed they join forces once again as Nelson, Murdock & Page, with Matt and Foggy as the legal team and Karen as their investigator. All three verbally agreed to their new firm but fans were left wondering if it ever happened. Daredevil season 4 would have to answer if Nelson, Murdock & Page indeed became "avocados at law."

Did Kingpin Regain His Power In Hell's Kitchen?

Wilson Fisk ended Daredevil season 3 back under arrest by the FBI. The Kingpin used his status as a mob informant to leverage the Feds into giving him more and more power, and he used the unstable but deadly Bullseye AKA Agent Benjamin Poindexter (Wilson Bethel) as his personal assassin. However, Daredevil and his friends were able to take down Fisk once again but Murdock didn't kill his arch-enemy like he wanted to. However, Daredevil season 3 happened in 2018 and if Daredevil season 4 is set in the MCU, it would be over 6 years later (post-Thanos Snap) in the MCU's Sacred Timeline, so Wilson Fisk could potentially back in power and ruling New York City as the Kingpin of Crime.

Did Wilson Fisk Reunite With Vanessa?

Kingpin and Vanessa in Daredevil

For all of his crimes, Wilson Fisk genuinely loves Vanessa Marianna (Ayelet Zurer), who became his wife in Daredevil season 3. However, they were separated once again when Mr. and Mrs. Fisk were taken into custody by the FBI. Daredevil also threatened to kill Vanessa if Fisk ever revealed his identity as Matt Murdock to the world the way J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) later outed Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Wilson and Vanessa Fisk may be villains but they're also Daredevil's most stable love story so would it continue in season 4?

Did Fisk Keep His Word And Not Reveal Daredevil's Identity?

The Kingpin learned Matt Murdock was the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and used this knowledge to his advantage in Daredevil season 3. However, after Murdock beat and humbled Wilson Fisk in Daredevil season 3's finale, he cut a deal with the Kingpin to spare Vanessa's life so long as Fisk never reveals Matt's secret identity. Whether or not Fisk kept his word is one of Daredevil's biggest lingering questions that fans would demand to know if Daredevil season 4 happens.

Did Bullseye Recover From His Injuries?

Benjamin Poindexter suited up as Daredevil in Daredevil

The sight of Bullseye having his shattered spine surgically repaired - and his right eyeball taking on the shape of a bullseye - was the last image fans saw from Daredevil season 3. Although he is a deeply disturbed individual, Bullseye is also a gifted marksman who can't miss and can turn anything he throws into a lethal weapon. Poindexter also spent much of Daredevil season 3 impersonating the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and ruining his heroic reputation. But Bullseye was also arguably the best villain Daredevil faced in the series, and he's Matt Murdock's classic comic book arch-rival. If Daredevil season 4 happens in the MCU, fans will no doubt demand to see Bullseye back as well, including learning whether Poindexter ever regained his mobility.

Where Is Elektra?

daredevil elodie yung elektra

Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) was last seen in The Defenders and she presumably died when the Midland Circle building collapsed on top of Elektra and Daredevil. However, Matt Murdock survived so it stands to reason Elektra could have as well. If Daredevil returns for season 4, then the question of what happened to Elektra and whether she will also join the MCU will need to be answered. After all, Elektra has 'died' before; Natchios was also known as the Black Sky, the ultimate weapon of the Hand. Elektra is also the love of Matt Murdock's life, no matter how toxic their relationship has been.

What Happened To The Other Defenders?

Marvel's Netflix series was a shared universe based in New York City and all of the superheroes teamed up in 2017's The Defenders miniseries. Naturally, if Daredevil officially joins the MCU, the question of what happened to the other Defenders is something fans will want to be addressed. When each of their shows ended, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) became the crime lord of Harlem while Iron Fist Danny Rand (Finn Jones) traveled the world with Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey) after Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) became the new Iron Fist. After the events of her season 3, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) almost left New York City but she decided to remain a private investigator. Fans can only guess whether each of the Defenders could also join the MCU if Daredevil season 4 happens on Disney+.
