The latest teaser trailer for Daredevil season 3 shines a light on Wilson Fisk aka. Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio). The last time fans saws The Devil of Hell's Kitchen, he was in a bad shape following the events of The Defenders. After teaming up with his fellow New York-based heroes (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand), the lawyer by day, vigilante by night successfully foiled Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) and the Hand's attempt to take over his city. However, at the last minute, Matt Murdock decided to stay behind in the collapsing Midland Circle building, rather than allowing Elektra (Elodie Young) to die alone for a second time. Suffice it to say, the world will be shocked to learn that Matt is alive and well after that.

Following the release of the second seasons of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, Marvel TV's first Netflix series is finally gearing up for its third outing. Marketing officially began last week with the release of the first Daredevil season 3 teaser trailer and poster (the former of which also confirmed season 3's premiere date). Since then, several Daredevil season 3 photos have been released, showing Matt back in his vigilante costume. With less than a month to go before the full season is made available for streaming, Netflix has released another teaser trailer - albeit, one that focuses on Matt's old enemy Fisk, instead.

Netflix has also released an official synopsis for Daredevil season 3, to go along with the Kingpin-oriented teaser trailer. You can check out the teaser below, followed by the synopsis.

"Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero."

Unlike how a standard trailer plays out, the Daredevil season 3 teaser didn't reveal any footage from the upcoming season. Rather, it highlighted the show's primary opposing forces. Fisk, who is now out of his orange prison suit dons a crisp white ensemble, while Matt, who is still bloodied, ditches his dress shirt for his makeshift Daredevil suit. Considering how the clip was shot, chances are that it was just filmed for promotional purposes only, although it gives fans a clear picture of a more ruthless Matt Murdock in the series' upcoming outing.

The trailer continues the Daredevil season 3 marketing trend of emphasizing Matt embracing the darkness in him. The previously released teaser featured him in a confessional, cynically talking about the court of law letting him down too many times to believe that it could actually service justice. He also subtly talked about how to be able to defeat evil, and "to finish it for good," he needs to "let the devil out." For long-time fans of the show who missed Kingpin in season 2, this just made the arch-enemies' eventual reunion more interesting.
