Daredevil swag depicting the symbol of Bullseye seemingly confirms reports the Marvel villain will appear in season 3 of the Netflix series. Daredevil kicked off Netflix's corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when season 1 debuted in 2015, earning positive reactions from critics and fans alike. The series follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) as he battles those who threaten his home of Hell's Kitchen in New York City. The first season saw the Man Without Fear go toe-to-toe with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), while season 2 pitted him against the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) as well as the Hand - the latter of which were eventually defeated in The Defenders.

Last we saw Matt at the end of The Defenders, an entire building had fallen on him and he was recovering in a convent, teasing Daredevil season 3 will adapt the comics' "Born Again" storyline. In terms of villains, D'Onofrio is returning as Fisk in season 3. Plus, a recent report revealed Wilson Bethel is playing Bullseye, one of Daredevil's most famous antagonists from the comics. Bethel was cast in Daredevil as an FBI agent and his character potentially being Bullseye has not been confirmed by Marvel. Now, a new behind the scenes photo lends further credence to the report of Bullseye appearing in Daredevil season 3.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones costume designer Elisabeth Vastola posted a photo on Instagram of some swag she and fellow staff of the costume department received after wrapping on season 3. The back of the jacket features the logo for Netflix's Daredevil, but with the addition of a bullseye - the symbol of the same-named Marvel Comics villain. Vastola has since deleted the Instagram post, which seems to further support it revealed a Daredevil season 3 character that Marvel wasn't ready to confirm. Take a look at a screenshot of the post below.

Bullseye, as played by Colin Farrell, appeared in the Ben Affleck-starring Daredevil movie that hit theaters in 2003. However, the film wasn't well critically received, didn't perform exceptionally at the box office, and left a bad taste in the mouths of many fans. As such, it seemed Netflix and Marvel's Daredevil TV series veered as much away from the movie as possible. Season 1 didn't feature Bullseye or Elektra, and Daredevil even wore the black costume from the comics for most of the episodes, before finally donning the red suit in the finale. Though season 2 introduced Elektra (Élodie Yung), the show has yet to feature Bullseye.

That said, there were rumors Jason Statham was in talks to play Bullseye for Daredevil season 2 shortly after season 1 hit Netflix. But through three seasons of Daredevil the series has seen as many showrunners, with Steven S. DeKnight steering the ship in season 1, Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez in season 2, and Erik Oleson signing on for season 3. So, it's possible the plan for season 2 changed, with Bullseye being left for a later season. Now that Daredevil is entering its third year - and all the clues point to the character appearing - it seems Matt Murdock may finally face Bullseye after all.

Of course, Marvel has yet to officially confirm Bullseye for Daredevil season 3. So far all we have are rumors and hints. It's possible Bethel isn't playing Bullseye. But there are too many indicators pointing to Bullseye showing up in Hell's Kitchen to ignore - and it seems likely the Marvel Comics villain will face off against Matt Murdock at some point in Daredevil season 3.
