As the two seemingly separate universes continue to merge, Rosario Dawson is addressing her possible Daredevil: Born Again return. Starring Charlie Cox as the titular character, Daredevil centered on blind superhero/lawyer Matt Murdock and was one of the most popular Netflix Marvel shows, running on for three seasons from 2015 to 2018, until it was canceled by the streaming service. However, Netflix and Marvel's statements at the time left room for the character to appear in future Marvel projects, and sure enough, he appeared in a Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo. Following Cox's reprisal of the role, it was announced earlier this year that Daredevil will be revived for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an 18-episode run called Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again will bring Cox back as Matt and also feature Vincent D'Onofrio as his acclaimed villain Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. With the new show is still a long way off, it's unknown if other key Daredevil players will reprise their roles in the series, including Matt's legal partners Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Fans have specifically been wondering whether Rosario Dawson will return as fan-favorite character Claire Temple, a nurse who tends to Matt as well as the other Defenders in the Netflix Marvel shows, and now the actor herself is offering her thoughts on coming back.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Rosario Dawson opened up about her potential Daredevil: Born Again return, seemingly teasing the sun hasn't set for Claire. She pointed to the casting of Cox and D'Onofrio in the Disney+ show as confirmation that the entirety of the series is now canon in the MCU, setting the stage for her return as Claire. See her full response to whether or not the character may appear in the reboot below:

Oh yeah. For sure. You don’t even see her in that last “tell Claire to go home” moment on Luke Cage. So what is that? You know it’s terrible. So, yeah, I’d be super curious, but I’m just so stoked for everybody, though. It’s been a long time coming. I was really excited to know that all of our shows are actually part of the MCU now, with Charlie [Cox] and Vincent [D’Onofrio] coming over into these different projects now. So, yeah, 18 episodes [of Daredevil: Born Again]? I’m there! Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, they know where I am.

Unlike prior comments, in which she played coy about the possibility, Dawson's new discussion seems to be far more firm in assuring her interest in making a Daredevil: Born Again return. Since making her introduction in the original Netflix show, Claire became a key player in the streamer's Marvel universe, appearing across every show, except for Jon Bernthal's The Punisher, for which she is eager to get the opportunity to do so in a potential MCU continuation. With little known about Daredevil: Born Again's plot at this time, it's possible that Claire may have no reason to appear, though her interest in returning could see Marvel seek to take advantage of her and audiences' love for the character.

It's an exciting time to be a Daredevil fan, since the character is set to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo following his MCU return in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The hero's involvement in the MCU as of now continues to be set firmly in the Disney+ television series side, so it remains to be seen whether Daredevil: Born Again will have any bearing on future Marvel movies. As for the other Netflix Marvel shows, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders (which Cox also starred in as Daredevil), fans have wondered whether those characters will be brought into the fold since the shows moved to Disney+ in March. Though nothing has been announced, Daredevil: Born Again may offer an exciting opportunity to bring Claire Temple and other Netflix Marvel characters into the MCU when the series premieres in 2024.
