Warning! This post contains a PREVIEW for Daredevil #4In a new preview for Marvel Comics' Daredevil, Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios' brand-new ninja war begins with a major zombie brawl. Having left Hell's Kitchen in the hands of his allies such as Spider-Man and Mayor Luke Cage, Daredevil has chosen to finally join Elektra on a dark crusade to finally destroy the Hand once and for all. However, resurrecting the Fist may prove to be more difficult than Murdock thought.
Previously in Marvel's Daredevil from Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto, the world believes Matt Murdock is dead after his twin brother Mike was killed by Kingpin during the Devil's Reign storyline. Having been posing as Matthew for quite some time while Daredevil was in prison, Fisk thought he was killing Matt instead of Mike. However, Daredevil has chosen to let the world keep thinking Matthew Murdock has died, allowing him to leave with Elektra in her new crusade to bring back the Fist, an ancient order meant to counter the Hand's evil. After all, the new order requires both a king and a queen.
Now, the new preview for Daredevil #4 reveals Daredevil and Elektra's first challenge: destroying the souls of the Hand's resurrected dead. Given the organization's penchant for bringing the dead to life, it's no surprise that they'd have an army of zombies simply lying in wait. However, zombies are only the first threat lying in store for the duo, especially with the Hand having recently gained a dark new leader in the Marvel Universe.

The synopsis teases that Daredevil and Elektra will have to trust each other on a level like never before. However, it's only going to be a matter of time before Daredevil will have to face Frank Castle's Punisher, the Hand's new High Slayer who serves their god known as the Beast, recruited in exchange for his dead family being brought back to life. As such, it's clear that zombies are only going to be the tip of the iceberg for Daredevil and Elektra's new ninja war.
At any rate, it's going to be very intriguing to see how the Man Without Fear will evolve now that he's Daredevil full-time. It's possible he'll become darker after bringing the Fist back as its new ruler alongside Elektra. As such, one has to wonder what will happen when Murdock faces Punisher in the issues ahead. The full Daredevil #4 releases on October 12th.
