Daredevil is finally coming to the MCU in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law with an updated yellow costume. Following his starring role in Netflix's Daredevil series, Charlie Cox made his first official canon appearance in the MCU as the character's alter-ego, Matt Murdock, in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the actor is now set to reprise the role in multiple upcoming projects. Trailers for She-Hulk, where he's appearing next in the franchise and for the first time in superhero garb, have teased the first look at Charlie Cox's Daredevil in the MCU in his new costume.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set to feature multiple superhero cameos alongside Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, who gains Hulk powers after being exposed to her cousin Bruce Banner's gamma-irradiated blood. One of the most anticipated heroes set to appear in the series is Daredevil, marking Charlie Cox's return to the character he portrayed on Netflix's Daredevil and The Defenders series. Since She-Hulk is a courtroom comedy, this series is the perfect place to properly introduce vigilante lawyer Matt Murdock to the MCU, while the character is booked to appear in future titles including Spider-Man: Freshman YearEchoand Daredevil: Born Again.

Trailers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have given viewers sneak peeks at Daredevil's appearance in the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series, suited and booted in a costume that has some pretty obvious differences from his red Netflix suit. This time, the Man Without Fear's costume sports yellow details to compliment the red that audiences might be familiar with. There are a few reasons why Daredevil's costume has been changed for the MCU.

Is Daredevil's Yellow Costume From Marvel Comics

Daredevil Yellow Costume Comic Accurate

Daredevil's comic book costume has gone through many variations, and this also could be the case for the MCU's Daredevil. A black and grey suit with red details is set to make an appearance with Daredevil in the animated Spider-Man: Freshman Year, but his fresh yellow costume in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is also ripped straight from the pages of Marvel Comics, following on the MCU's theme of introducing more comic accurate costumes in Phase 4. The costume is one of the first donned by the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, dating back to 1964's Daredevil #1, so it seems appropriate that this will be the first costume worn by Matt Murdock in the MCU.

While the design of Daredevil's costume in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law seems similar to his attire in the Defenders Saga, the updated color scheme creates a striking departure from the previous iteration. This means that the character is still recognizable but has a fresh look for his new MCU career. The brighter tones for Daredevil's MCU costume will also fit well in the procedural comedy genre for the upcoming She-Hulk show, moving away from the darker textures of the Netflix series, though there is still hope that 2024's Daredevil: Born Again series for Disney+ will reproduce these gritty textures for Daredevil's first solo stint in the MCU.

Since the cancelation of Marvel's Netflix series in February 2019, viewers have been awaiting the return of some fan-favorite characters into the canon of the MCU. With Vincent D'Onofrio's appearance as Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in Hawkeye, and Charlie Cox's return as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home (with both set to make multiple future appearances), it seems Marvel Studios isn't scared about bringing these characters back —and this could spell good news for the likes of the Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. While these other Netflix series characters haven't yet been confirmed, viewers can relish the fun updates to Daredevil's costume in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
