While Daredevil has successfully ousted the corrupt Mayor of New York, Kingpin has pulled out a trick that even has Reed Richards stumped. Matt Murdock will stop at nothing to find his archenemy, but Wilson Fisk has somehow evaded detection by one of the smartest minds in the Marvel Universe.

When Fisk was elected to one of the most powerful positions in New York, fear rang out through a majority of the superhero community. After all, many Marvel heroes call the Big Apple their home and with the Kingpin of Crime running it, they knew dark days were ahead. Their fears came true in the event Devil's Reign, where an enraged Fisk enacted a law banning superheroes in his city. Daredevil and a number of heroes fought back and were able to get Kingpin arrested after he murdered Matt's twin brother, Mike.

However, being the slippery customer he is, Fisk has managed to run from law enforcement and has completely gone off the radar. A new preview for Devil's Reign: Omega #1 picks right up from the nail-biting conclusion of Devil's Reign, with Matt attempting to track down Fisk after he left the country with his new bride, Typhoid Mary. Unfortunately, wherever the Kingpin has fled to, it's completely puzzled the Fantastic Four's leader, Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic. The hero is able to use facial recognition software and determines a few previously known locations for Wilson and Mary, but notes that the trail runs cold after that. While Reed has a theory that Fisk could have traveled to Latveria under the protection of Victor Von Doom, he's unable to help Daredevil any further. Enjoy a preview of the issue below:

Matt is right to want Kingpin found as soon as possible. Fisk might not be in charge of New York City anymore, but that doesn't mean he's not just as much a threat hiding in the shadows. Reed Richards might have an inkling as to where Kingpin has gone, but the leader of the Fantastic Four ignores a crucial part of the villain's psychology. To be fair, Reed's logic is sound. There are few places that Wilson Fisk can hide in a world of super-science and advanced magics, and it's possible that Doom would allow Kingpin sanctuary based on their shared struggles against the superhero community. But Wilson Fisk is a proud man and has spent the last several years running his beloved city with an iron fist. Now that he's been ousted, the thing that would kill the Kingpin more than anything would be to run to the safety of a world that someone else rules in a similar fashion.

Reed is basing his theory off the idea that Fisk will do the logical thing, when Kingpin has repeatedly shown he follows his heart more than anything else. It's possible that Kingpin could be hiding in Latveria, but the mere existence of a question mark over that idea when being investigated by Reed Richards - a scientist who has discovered other dimensions and faced down Galactus - shows that when it counts, Daredevil's nemesis is one of the Marvel Universe's canniest operators.
