Warning: This post contains SPOILERS for She-Hulk episode 8!

Daredevil's hallway fight obsession is already part of Marvel Cinematic Universe canon thanks to She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 8. Once it was revealed that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock was returning to the MCU years after Netflix's Daredevil ended, how similar or different Daredevil would be compared to before became a huge discussion. The beloved series gave audiences a complete look at Matt Murdock's life and provided the MCU with the opportunity to continue some of his biggest storylines and characteristics. Daredevil's costume might be different in She-Hulk, but the MCU did retain his coolest obsession.

The Netflix Daredevil series built a reputation for including incredible hallway fights that were primarily done in a single take. Marvel Studios wasted no time confirming that Daredevil's corridor fight obsession is MCU canon, as She-Hulk gives him a hallway fight for his second action sequence. Matt even points out that he's taken out rooms of goons millions of times in the past and fighting bad guys by himself in corridors is kind of "his thing." The Daredevil hallway fight that follows in She-Hulk proves that brutal hallway fights are not just a part of Netflix's take on the character. It instead acts as a promise that the MCU will feature more Daredevil corridor fight scenes going forward.

The MCU's Daredevil Show Must Make Up For She-Hulk's Hallway Fight Fakeout

She-Hulk Episode 8 Daredevil Hallway Fight

As great as it was to see Daredevil's obsession translate to the MCU, She-Hulk's hallway fight is more of a fakeout than a true continuation of the trend. The episode does show Daredevil fighting several bad guys in the hallway and taking them out in a brutal fashion, but it was cut short thanks to She-Hulk. Instead of waiting for Daredevil to take out all the guys, she crashes through the ceiling and ends the second wave of the fight before it can even begin. Marvel is now in the position of only teasing fans with the Daredevil hallway fight they really want, and Daredevil: Born Again must make up for the fakeout.

The good news is that all signs point to Marvel Studios knowing that the MCU's Daredevil needs to keep having hallway fights. It is one aspect of the Netflix show that is still revered thanks to the impressive stunts and fight coordination required to pull them off. Since She-Hulk episode 8 already established that Daredevil participates in corridor fights in the MCU too, Marvel will hopefully continue the trend in Daredevil: Born Again and let Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock continue to have memorable action scenes in tight spaces.

How The MCU Can Top Netflix's Daredevil Hallway Fights

It might seem difficult to imagine that the MCU can beat Netflix's Daredevil hallway fights, but there is one benefit that can come from Marvel Studios. The Netflix shows were made with a minimal budget, but Marvel Studios pumps a lot more money into their productions. This could help Daredevil: Born Again or future MCU projects that feature Daredevil to raise the stakes of these fight scenes. The additional money could even allow Daredevil's billy clubs to be a more focal point in the fights. Furthermore, there is also the potential for the long development cycles of MCU projects to give Marvel's teams more time to figure out how to do the next massive Daredevil fight scene after She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Charlie Cox and the stunt performers more time to practice.
