Vincent D'Onofrio shares a clip from Netflix's Daredevil series ahead of the start of production for Daredevil: Born Again. D'Onofrio plays Wilson Fisk/Kingpin alongside Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Netflix's Daredevil, which aired for three seasons from 2015 through 2018. The series was canceled, along with several other Marvel Netflix shows like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. However, Cox's Daredevil was brought back for the MCU, first appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home before showing up in Disney+'s She-Hulk series. D'Onofrio was also brought back to portray the MCU's Kingpin, appearing in the Hawkeye series. Both actors are set to appear in Marvel's Echo series before reteaming for a Daredevil revival series called Daredevil: Born Again.

Ahead of Daredevil: Born Again's production start, D'Onofrio took to Instagram to share a clip from Daredevil's Netflix series. The clip features Kingpin being taken to prison, where he tells the two guards sitting with him a religious parable. The story he recounts is about the good Samaritan who helps a man who was beaten and robbed, only for Kingpin to reveal that he thought of himself as the Samaritan, but in fact, he now believes he's more akin to the men who robbed and beat the man. Everything We Know About Daredevil: Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again will air after the Disney+ Echo series, which will feature Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio. Echo is said to see Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez returning home to connect with her Native American roots after a gang leader catches up with her in New York. The series is also rumored to feature Matt Murdock searching for a former ally who is rumored to be Kristen Ritter's Jessica Jones. While that remains to be confirmed, the series is still set to see Cox and D'Onofrio have their most prominent roles in the MCU to date. However, that will change with the release of Daredevil: Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again is said to be a soft reboot of Marvel's Netflix series, ignoring some aspects while taking the characters in a new direction for the MCU. Cox and D'Onofrio are reprising their roles, but not much else is known about the cast. Still, audiences hold out hope that Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page or Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson will return. As for the plot, the Born Again title could point to one of Daredevil's most popular and bleak storylines from the comics, which sees Matt Murdock's indemnity sold to the Kingpin, which he then uses the information to force Matt into poverty, questioning his sanity.

The series is set to begin production early in 2023 and is slated to last 11 months. Daredevil: Born Again will then air on Disney+ in the spring of 2024. The show will also be the longest Marvel series yet, promising an 18-episode season. So for fans of Matt Murdock and Kingpin, Echo will hopefully hold fans over until 2024 when Daredevil: Born Again will see Daredevil and the Kingpin together again in their own story.
