The costumes represent a new turning point for the heroes as they take a further step in their Marvel Comics journey.
Matt Murdock is believed dead in the Marvel Universe after the death of his brother has the world thinking he died instead. However, with a new lease on life, Matt has fully embraced his Daredevil persona, as he's making it his biggest mission to stop The Hand once and for all. Elektra's Daredevil is joining him, as the reformed villain is eager to help him, potentially forming a new version of The Fist to stop The Hand. In a new preview for Daredevil's upcoming adventures, both heroes get new costumes as they battle evil forces.
In a new interior page for Daredevil #4 by Chip Zdarsky and Rafael De Latorre (H/T @AIPT) from Marvel Comics, both Matt Murdock and Elektra's Daredevil face off against The Hand and the Apostles of War while wearing new costumes. Considering Ares has been leading the Apostles against The Hand in Punisher's current series, it seems like the versions of the villains they're facing might be corrupted by the ninja organization - or, perhaps, they have shockingly joined forces.
