Dante Basco, the voice actor of Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, has shared trivia about his pre-ATLA role in A Goofy Movie in a recent TikTok clip. The actor voiced the prince of the powerful Fire Nation turned friend of Aang, the latest Avatar in the Nickelodeon animated television series that ran from 2005 to 2008. Basco also returned to the world of ATLA in The Legend of Korra, voicing General Iroh II, the grandson of Zuko.

In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko begins as a bitter, aggressive, and tragic young man, desperately trying to win the approval of his father Fire Lord Ozai following his exile. He starts the series as an antagonist to Aang and Team Avatar, but grows into a better man on his journey, joining the team himself to defeat his father. Basco has recently revisited the series when hosting Avatar: Braving the Elements, a podcast where he and The Legend of Korra's Janet Varney analyze the series episode-by-episode and share behind-the-scenes facts. However, Basco also shared a tale from before being cast as Zuko.

On TikTok, Basco dueted a video in which a fan shared trivia from his early voice acting career. In the original video, fan Alectrode stitched a video of comic book TikToker Justin Mousseau asking his fans to share pieces of movie trivia they always point out to others. Alectrode stitched the video with a clip from A Goofy Movie where Basco voiced a nerd character, before pointing the actor out. Basco dueted the clip, lip-syncing his character's line while nodding to confirm the trivia.

Basco has starred in a number of Disney productions before joining ATLA, voicing additional roles in A Goofy Movie, as well as guest roles in Kim Possible and season one of the recently revived The Proud Family. Basco also voiced the main character Jake Long in American Dragon: Jake Long, an animated series following a half-human, half-dragon boy balancing his ordinary life with protecting the magical creatures living in New York. The series ran for 52 episodes split between 2 seasons that aired on the Disney Channel between 2005 and 2007, airing during the same period as Avatar: The Last Airbender's first two seasons.

Basco has an active online presence where he has interacted with fans and shared new content about recent and previous appearances, as well as new content with his fellow ATLA cast members. This can be seen with his recent TikTok reunion with Aang voice actor Zach Taylor-Eisen, where the pair met up in New York.  For generations of kids growing up during the 90's and early 2000's, Basco is easily a recognizable part of their childhood due to his role. As such it is welcome to see him sharing his experiences working on Avatar: The Last Airbender and A Goofy Movie with fans, offering them a better insight into the media they grew up with.
