Here's how the main characters of cult animated series Danny Phantom would look ten years after it ended. Danny Phantom is the brainchild of Butch Hartman, creator of The Fairly OddParents. The Nickelodeon series debuted in 2004 and followed teenager Danny Fenton, the son of ghost hunters. Due to an accident with a Ghost Portal, Danny is turned into a half-human, half-ghost hybrid. Naturally, his only option is to use his new powers to fight various spirits and ghosts, with a little help from his friends and family.

While the premise may sound like Ghostbusters with kids, Danny Phantom has a unique tone all its own. It featured great writing and animation for its era, and retains a loyal following to this day. Sadly, the show came to an abrupt end following its third season in 2007. Hartman seems eager to dive back into the world of Danny Phantom, and a script for a live-action version was once submitted to Nickelodeon, though nothing appears to be happening with that project.

The cult fandom of Danny Phantom only seems to grow bigger over time, and Butch Hartman talks about the series regularly on his YouTube channel. In 2016, he uploaded a video showcasing several drawings showing what the cast of Danny Phantom could look like a decade after it ended.

This was the first in a series of videos reimaging Danny Phantom characters ten years on from the show, with a focus on Danny and his friends Sam Manson and Tucker Foley. Some of the costume changes for the older characters are Marvel-inspired, with Butch Hartman namedropping Ant-Man in the design for one costume. He also reveals Tucker was largely inspired by Chris Tucker in Rush Hour, with his name came from combining Chris Tucker with Eddie Murphy's Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop.

This video got fans excited about seeing a Danny Phantom revival series, with Hartman later posting a video to his page dubbed Danny Phantom: The College Years. As the name suggests, this would follow Danny and co during college, with the former struggling to fit in and study when he's also something of a celebrity AND hunting ghosts. This sparked a fan-led social media campaign dubbed #GoGhostAgain that was hoping to encourage Nickelodeon to press forward with a new series, but for the moment, there's no new show on the horizon. Plenty of beloved animated series like DuckTales have been brought back in recent years, so maybe Danny Phantom will find a way back to screens sometime in the future.
