Daniel Craig has bid farewell to James Bond with the release of No Time to Die, but the actor has a number of other exciting projects on the way. Though Craig was known before his 007 debut for films like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Sylvia, he didn’t rise to superstardom until his acclaimed leading performance in 2006’s Casino Royale. But now that James Bond is behind him, what does the future hold for Craig?

Outside his work as cinema’s most famous secret agent, Craig is perhaps best known for crime films like Road to Perdition and Layer Cake and thrillers like The Jacket, The Invasion, and Dream House. Craig’s image as a cool, stone-faced action star came largely from his tenure as 007, but also from his larger body of work. More recently, however, Craig has ventured further into the realm of comedy, with acclaimed performances in movies like Rian Johnson’s Knives Out and Logan Lucky.

Here’s every upcoming Daniel Craig movie and TV show that’s known to be in development.

The resounding success of Knives Out led to a bidding war between studios for the rights to the sequels, which Netflix ultimately won. No exact release date has been announced for Knives Out 2, but it’s currently intended to release at some point in 2022. Craig will return in the Knives Out sequel to star as eccentric detective Benoit Blanc, surrounded by an entirely new supporting cast that includes Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick, and Ethan Hawke.

The Creed Of Violence – TBA

Daniel Craig Casino Royale

In 2019, it was reported that Craig would star in an adaptation of Boston Teran’s 2009 novel The Creed of Violence, directed by Todd Field. The story of the novel follows an assassin named Rawbone, who Craig was reportedly set to play, during the Mexican Revolution in 1910. Unfortunately, there have been no updates on the film in some time, causing many to fear that, like several of Field’s projects since Little Children, The Creed of Violence movie may never arrive. At this point, however, it remains a possibility.

Knives Out 3 – TBA

Netflix has purchased the rights to not just one, but two sequels to Knives Out, meaning that a Knives Out 3 is likely coming at some point in the near future. With all the recent focus being understandably placed on Knives Out 2, very little has been announced about the potential follow-up, other than that it will once again see Craig playing Benoit Blanc, likely in an entirely new scenario with an entirely new supporting cast. As of now, Daniel Craig hasn’t announced any more upcoming projects, but it should be exciting to see what the star gets up to now that his James Bond era has ended.
