Daniel Craig, the lead actor in the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time To Die, has recently revealed which one of the whopping 25 movies in the franchise is his favorite. No Time To Die is the latest Bond film to come to theaters after many delays due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. It was originally slated to come out in November of 2019, but was initially delayed due to previous director Danny Boyle exiting the project. After picking up Cary Joji Fukunaga as the new director and, Daniel Craig's last movie as the famous 007 agent is finally coming to theaters.

No Time To Die follows the events of Spectre. It catches up with Bond as he is living out his life retired from active service. However, he is pulled back into the world of espionage when his friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), who was in previous Daniel Craig 007 films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, requests Bond's help. This journey leads Bond to face the mysterious villain Safin, played by Rami Malek. The movie also stars Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw.

Now, Daniel Craig has commented on which Bond film is his favorite. In an interview with GQ, Craig reveals that Goldfinger is his top pick of the massive Bond movie legacy. Read Craig's explanation for why Goldfinger is his favorite below:

"Goldfinger, I think, is my favorite James Bond movie. I love Dr. No, but it was sort of where Sean Connery became the James Bond that we know and love."

Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger

Craig's love of Goldfinger matches the feelings of many other Bond fans, as it is one of the highest rated 007 movies. The third Sean Connery film was critically and financially successful when it released in 1964, and was also regarded for bringing staple aspects of what makes a Bond film. This includes many prominent elements such as having him drive an Aston Martin and having a scene that plays before the theme song. These aspects are so vital to the DNA of a James Bond movie that it is odd to think that there were two previous films that did not feature them. They also helped shape the modern Bond era for today's audiences, which could also be why Craig loves the movie.

Goldfinger is an iconic Bond movie, and fans will be happy to know that Daniel Craig feels the same. While his time as Bond is over now, he could perhaps leave a legacy like Connery has. Fans can check out the influences of Craig's favorite Bond film by checking out No Time To Die in theaters.
