Former The Bachelorette lead Kaitlyn Bristowe is making headlines for her run on Dancing With The Stars season 29. In addition to her being impressed by her dancing skills, viewers are swooning over her relationship with her boyfriend and fellow The Bachelor alum Jason Tartick. The two are clearly on track for marriage. Before this season of DWTS began, Kaitlyn expressed certainty the show would not break them up.
Given that she's a reality TV star, Kaitlyn's previous romances were also in the public eye. After appearing on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor, she was picked to be the eleventh lead of The Bachelorette. During her season, she ultimately chose Connecticut native Shawn Booth, who proposed to her at the finale. The coupled stayed together for three years before calling it quits in 2018. Kaitlyn later released a song about their breakup, which seemed to be quite painful. But the fans are wondering: what has Shawn been up to as his ex competes for the mirrorball trophy?
For the most part, The Bachelorette star Shawn Booth has been focused on his career. The fitness instructor owns a gym - cleverly named Boothcamp - in Nashville. Shawn opened the gym in 2018, back when he and Kaitlyn were still together. Since their split in November of that year, he appears to not have had any new serious relationship. Or, at the very least, he hasn't made any girlfriend public. In turn, Kaitlyn started dating Jason in January 2019. That same month, her ex appeared on Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins' podcast Almost Famous. The 33-year-old was able to admit that he was still struggling with the breakup.
Recently, Shawn Booth spoke to Us Weekly to promote Movember, which is an organization that focuses on men's health and that he has been involved with for quite some time. He revealed his passion for this charitable organization due to family members who had prostate and colon cancer, as well as the importance of promoting mental health for men. During that interview, Shawn also answered questions about his hopes and dreams for a future relationship. Admitting uncertainty about marriage, he emphasized how much he wants children. When asked about which traits his ideal partner would have, the first thing he mentioned was loving dogs. In April, Shawn revealed on Instagram the tragic news that his beloved dog, Tucker, had passed away. Kaitlyn commented on the photo sending her condolences. She revealed on another Bachelor Nation-related podcast, Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad, that she also reached out to him privately. Unfortunately, he did not respond back.
These two exes may not be on good terms, but ending it before they reached the altar was clearly for the best. Kaitlyn has already talked about plans of starting a family with Jason after Dancing With The Stars. Even if she doesn't win, the reality TV star appears to have found her happily ever after. Time will tell if Shawn finds his as well.
