Professional dancer Cheryl Burke is thinking about retiring after Dancing With The Stars season 30 comes to an end. Cheryl has been a dancer on the show for 24 seasons. She first joined the cast for DWTS season 6 back in 2008 and has been a part of every season since then. Cheryl has also won the Mirror Ball Trophy twice throughout her time in the franchise.

Earlier this month, the full list of professional dancers returning for DWTS season 30 was announced. Amongst the eight female dancers is Cheryl. Female pro dancers who will also be making a return to the Dancing With The Stars ballroom this season include Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Emma Slater, Jenna Johnson, Sharna Burgess, Lindsay Arnold, and Witney Carson. As for the male dancers, the seven returnees are Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Sasha Farber, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Even though all of the pros have already been practicing with their celebrity partners, the pairings have not yet been announced by ABC.

Nonetheless, Cheryl is now officially returning to the ballroom of Dancing With The Stars season 30 this year. However, it may actually be her last. During an interview with The Tamron Hall Show (included below), Cheryl admitted that she has been thinking about retiring from the show after the conclusion of season 30. Cheryl has had a lot of thoughts about her next chapter in life. She explained, "I've come to the point now where I’m 37 years old and it's like - OK, I'm starting to be like, 'What's the next chapter?'" She then noted,  "There's a mental capacity to the show where you're just like, 'Oh gosh, does this define me?'" In addition to the stresses of performing on the show, Cheryl has also been facing a battle with maintaining her sobriety.

Cheryl was just 24 years old when she first joined the cast. She's now 37 years old, making her the oldest professional dancer on the show. Cheryl joked, "The fact that I'm 37 and still samba-ing out there and shimmying is pretty unheard of."  As Cheryl has gotten older, dancing has put more strain on her body. She has now developed "pounding" arthritis, which affects her on and off of the show. Since marrying her now-husband Matthew Lawrence, Cheryl has also been thinking about him and their future together as a couple. She wants to start a family with Matthew, but continuing on with the show could affect their plans. Luckily, Cheryl has made a large chunk of money from her salary as a professional dancer that she saved for her future family.

Although her time on Dancing With The Stars may come to an end soon, Cheryl is extremely grateful for the past 24 seasons that she's been a part of. Cheryl has not yet made a definite decision as to whether or not she is ready to retire from the show, but it is perceived that she has her mind set on this being her final season. With that being said, there is no doubt Cheryl will give DWTS season 30 her all to hopefully take home a third Mirror Ball Trophy before retiring from the ballroom.
