Dancing with the Stars’ Sailor Brinkley-Cook Calls Out Wendy Williams for Spreading Hatred

Wendy Williams struck a nerve when she speculated that Christie Brinkley staged an injury to give her daughter a chance at joining the show.

Sailor Brinkley-Cook

Dancing with the Stars Sailor Brinkley-Cook called out Wendy Williams for spreading hatred. She feels that Williams' could benefit from more love in her life after having some harsh words about her mother.

Clearly, Williams struck a nerve when she speculated that Sailor's mother, Christie Brinkley, staged an injury on Dancing with the Stars to give her daughter a chance at joining the show. Before the premiere of season 28 of Dancing With the Stars even got underway, Christine has had to drop out last-minute after sustaining injuries to her arm and wrist that required surgery. After Sailor replaced her mother in the dance competition, Williams spoke about it live on her show, saying that Christie's injuries never happened and it was all a ploy to get her daughter on the show, even adding that Christie's fall looked "fake as Hell."

Her Dancing with the Stars dance partner Chmerkovskiy was there to back up Sailor and her mother, reiterating that he witnessed the fall that caused the injuries during rehearsal. He recalled, "When it happened, 30 seconds into her literally shattering her arm, she asked, 'Can I do this next season?'" He revealed, "She was having a blast, and it’s funny now we’re talking about Sailor’s exit, but let’s not forget how it all began and not forget Christie’s exit. That exit was fairly traumatic, as well." He jumped in, saying, "no one is expecting an apology from Wendy Williams," and revealed that Christie still has her sights set on next season.

Brinkley-Cook and her mother have since protested William's allegations by posting multiple photos on social media of proof of Brinkley's contorted arm, surgery photos and all. It does cause viewers to raise an eyebrow anytime the child of a celebrity is moved to the front of the line. However, this may not have been the case. Fans will have to wait for next season to see if Christine will get another shot at dancing on the competition once her injuries are properly healed.
