Dancing With The Stars’ Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chemerkovskiy reunited for Why Women Kill. In the new show, both dancers open each episode with a themed dance that will correspond with the theme of each episode.

After the birth of their son Shai, the New Zealand native Peta returned to the famed show, but left again for good in 2018 to concentrate on being a mother. She began her dance career with the show back on season 13 in 2012. The last season she appeared on was season 25 where she danced with 98 Degrees singer, Nick Lachey. Maxs, like other past dancers, will not be returning for the next season of Dancing With The Stars due to scheduling conflicts, but would consider returning to the ABC dance show if his schedule became lighter in the future.

The fan favorites from Dancing With The Stars both reunited to use their talents on a scripted TV show People reported. On the new show called Why Women Kill, the married couple performed a tango together for the show’s opening scene. The sultry dance began with Peta and Maxs standing on opposite sides of the dance floor; the two than ever so slowly started walking toward each other. The dance routine began quite slowly, luring the audience in, using sexy gestures to illuminate the movements. Once the invitation was accepted, the dance of love is allowed to begin.

The dancers had just celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary back in July. They both said that the love they had for one another helped feed into the dance and go on to explain that it was a dance of anticipation and desire.  Each episode of the new show, Why Women Kill, starts with a mini dance piece that is used to set up the main drama of the show. In the new episode, the character Beth Ann who is played by Ginnifer Goodwin developed a scheme to keep Rob, who is played by Sam Jaeger, away from another woman. Beth Ann ends up becoming close to her husband’s mistress, only complicating the matter. Lucy Liu’s character, Simone, and Jack Davenport’s character Karl are just trying to keep up appearances at a gala. The whole episode is full of jealous outburst and tawdry affairs.

Die-hard fans truly miss watching the dance couple perform on Dancing With The Stars as they grew to become fan favorites. The chemistry they had for one another was undeniable, and it always led to remarkable dance pieces. Thankfully, fans still have a chance to watch them perform on their new show Why Women Kill.
