Lindsay Arnold has revealed that ABC's Dancing with the Stars season 29 will have some major changes when it comes to filming and production during Covid-19. The dance pro is explaining what will be different. Lindsay has information about how the show will be televised.

Dancing with the Stars season 29 is right around the corner. Just last week, ABC announced the DWTS 29 premiere date, which is September 14th, and revealed which dance pros would be returning to compete for the beloved Mirror Ball Trophy. The news is getting fans excited for the show’s return, but it sounds like DWTS may be a little different this year, due to the pandemic. Season 25 winner and professional dancer Lindsay Arnold is speaking up about how the show is going to pan out. She won't be on this season because she is expecting her first child with her hubby Samuel Lightner Cusick, but she still knows what is going on behind the scenes at Dancing with the Stars. From social distancing measures to no audience, here are the (necessary) changes that have been made. These adjustments allow the show to be as safe as possible during these unprecedented times.

US Weekly reports that Lindsay Arnold sat down with Sean Spicer to discuss the new season of DWTS. The former press secretary was Arnold's season 28 partner and the two met up (virtually) to talk all things DWTS and how the show would be different this year. When asked if the pros knew who they would be paired up with, she said: “They don’t know their partners yet. I don’t think they’re doing it like last year, though. It’s gonna be different.” Typically, the list of celebrities is revealed on a live morning show to get fans hyped for the season. However, Arnold adds, I’m pretty sure they’re not doing, like, a GMA appearance. I’m assuming they’re not going to fly everybody to New York.” As for how the performances will be (and whether there will be any other Covid-19 regulations), she said, “I don’t think they’re going to make them dance six feet apart. If that were the case, I don’t think the show would be happening”. She continues, “At the same time, I truly believe that it’s going to change every week. I could see maybe the first week being no audience and then hopefully, maybe by the end, depending on how things evolve and change … I think it’s literally going to be a day-by-day process.”

Arnold also addressed how the Dancing with the Stars pros are no longer allowed to interact with each other. In previous seasons, the cast is always hanging out in the studio with everyone. They also are always there cheering each other on during live performances. She adds: It’ll be different for sure. It’s going to change the dynamic but at the same time, there’s no way you cannot interact on show days.”
