Jeannie Mai, a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, recently dedicated her performance on the TV competition show to soon-to-be husband Jeezy. The performance detailed the beauties of long-term relationships.

Jeannie Mai, co-host of The Real, started dating Jeezy in November 2018. However, they did not confirm their relationship until the middle of 2019. Jeezy surprised Mai with a proposal in April 2020. Jeezy originally planned for the proposal to happen in Vietnam, but due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Jeezy decided to bring Vietnam to Mai. Jeannie Mai has opened about her relationship with Jeezy many times on The Real, and she feels she finally found her “equal" in a partnership. “I didn’t even know until my new relationship that something as basic as like, at his birthday party, he left his birthday to drive me to the airport. He was looking at me like ‘Are you crazy? I need to see you off. I’m going to drive you to the airport.' So, I’m just saying be mindful of your standards, she said during a segment on The Real. Jeezy has truly shown Mai what it means to be loved. The famous host at one point feared she would not find love again after her heartbreaking divorce from her husband of nearly a decade. But life turned around for her, and the two lovebirds are now smitten with each other.

During Jeannie's most recent performance on Dancing With the Stars for the Disney-themed week, she performed a Viennese waltz to the tune of “Married Life” from the movie Up. According to People, Jeannie Mai's professional dance partner, Brandon Armstrong, said it is about, “an old couple growing old together.” Jeannie Mai confessed that she played Up for the rapper while they were still dating. Mai said she showed him the movie because “I would like for us to grow old together. The night that he is watching this dance is going to be his birthday, so I can’t wait to just have this as a sweet surprise.” For her dance, Mai wore a gray wig, a yellow dress, and glasses, hoping to capture the essence of the cartoon character Ellie.

The judges loved the dance and it earned Mai enough approval to stay and continue competing in the competition. Carrie Ann Inaba even said, “It’s like you found your pace. As a partnership the balance is incredible.” After all the generous compliments from the panel, Mai took the opportunity to send a personal message to her husband to be saying, “I specifically chose this dance because J is the love of my life and honestly when we met, I pictured the beginning of this. Because when you watch it, if you don’t have somebody, you think about that somebody. And the minute I met J, I could not wait to grow old with him, happily ever after. So, this is for you, baby.”

Jeannie Mai is not only cruising through this competition, she’s also falling even more in love with her fiancé Jeezy. What a beautiful sentiment. Mai had a great night, as the judges ended up awarding her a 22/30. To support his fiancé, Jeezy even purchased a billboard asking people to “Vote Jeannie," which Jeannie responded to by posting a video on her Instagram as she drove past the billboard. If that's not true love, then what is?
