JoJo Siwa will compete on Dancing with the Stars, and here is everything fans need to know about the singer, actress, and YouTube personality. ABC recently revealed the DWTS cast for the show's 30th season, and JoJo is one of the many ballroom dancing newbies who are ready to bust a move. All want to win the coveted Mirrorball trophy. From JoJo's dance history to pop stardom, the 18-year-old has made a name for herself in the industry. If DWTS viewers didn't know her before, they soon will. The iconic, platinum-blonde, bow-wearing, movie-making millionaire is sure to put on a show that no one will ever forget.

JoJo will join Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, actor Brian Austin Green and singer Melanie C, to name just a few other DWTS celebs cast in the upcoming season. Len Goodman, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba will be at the judging table while Tyra Banks serves as the host. Though the season has yet to begin, JoJo has already made DWTS history by being part of the first same-sex couple on the show. She took to the Dancing ABC Instagram page to share how excited she was to be dancing with a female. "I think that's so cool!" she said.

Joelle (JoJo) is no stranger to reality competition series. In 2020, she participated in another competition show, The Masked Singer. She was the T-Rex and ended up in 10th place. At 16 years old, she was the youngest person to take part in the show. She also made an appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, where her family went to head to head against TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D'Amelio and their family members. As far as DWTS goes, despite being a dancer, JoJo doesn't have experience with the show's signature ballroom style.

JoJo was introduced to the public in 2013 when she appeared in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition season 2. The show was a short-lived Lifetime dance contest featuring talented child dancers who competed for $100k and a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet Academy. Ten-year-old JoJo made it to the top five but was ultimately eliminated. However, that wasn’t the last that Lifetime viewers saw of “JoJo with a Bow Bow,” as she went on to become a series regular on Dance Moms, starting in season 5. She appeared alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa.

JoJo was part of the Abby Lee Dance Company until she left the following year. After her career on Dance Moms, the Instagram-famous JoJo signed a deal with Nickelodeon. However, she returned to the reality series in season 8, this time as a celebrity guest. She proved to the newest ALDC competition team that the show is just a stepping stone to successful careers.

During a Dance Moms season 5 fight, a mother on a rival team told Jessalynn, “Your daughter will never be a star.” JoJo now has more than 12 million YouTube subscribers, with a total of over 3.5 billion views, and almost 11 million followers on Instagram. She's made Time's list of the Top 100 Most Influential People of 2020. She sells items, from clothing and shoes to face masks. She even sells band-aids.
