Erin Andrews admitted that being fired from her co-hosting role on Dancing With The Stars was the "best thing" for her future. Erin first joined the cast as a contestant on season 10 of the show. She fell just shy of winning the Mirrorball Trophy when she placed third with her professional partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Four years later, Erin returned to the ballroom as a co-host alongside longtime host Tom Bergeron.

Prior to the start of season 29 last fall, both Erin and Tom were shockingly replaced by current host Tyra Banks. Longtime Dancing With The Stars viewers were both shocked and disappointed by the news. Then, when Tyra kicked off her hosting debut in the ballroom, fans begged for the return of Erin and Tom. For quite some time, it was unclear why the hosting duo left the show. It was later revealed that both Erin and Tom were fired in an effort to revamp the show.

Now, a little over a year later, Erin is at peace with her firing from the show. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Erin admitted that being fired was actually the "best thing" for her and her future. At the moment, Erin is trying to juggle her busy schedule between her football commentating position, her podcasts, and her new clothing line. In addition to all of this, Erin and her husband have been trying to have a baby as well. Despite initially feeling like a loser after being fired, Erin is now at peace with it. She said, "I think it was the best thing for me." Erin continued on to reveal that ABC wanted to "go a different direction" with the show, which she feels they have succeeded in doing.

Since Erin is happy she is no longer balancing hosting the dancing competition with the rest of her busy schedule, there are no hard feelings. She "give[s] [her] best to them" as she has moved onto the next chapter of her life. Erin continued on to explain, "The people that were there when the show was so great, they will always be my family." She understands that part of "show business" is constant change. In this case, ABC ultimately decided they wanted to bring on this change in order to go "in a different direction" with the show. With that being said, Erin is no longer surprised about her Dancing With The Stars firing. Despite there being no hard feelings, Erin no longer tunes into the dancing competition every Monday night, mainly due to the fact she is too busy watching football.

Although Erin is at peace with no longer being a part of the Dancing With The Stars cast, fans are still wishing both she and Tom would return to the ballroom. As Tyra Banks wraps up her second season as host, longtime viewers continue to complain about how different the show has become in recent years.
