Before he joined the reality TV ranks, Joe was a stockbroker-turned-supermarket owner based in Chicago. In fact, he knows from a family of grocery store owners. His appearance on The Bachelor season 9 garnered him Internet fame overnight. He later returned for Bachelor in Paradise, which got him an even larger fanbase.
Joe Amabile dated Kendall Long while on Bachelor in Paradise. They lived together in Los Angeles, California. The reality TV star got the call to do DWTS while he was on the set of Bachelor in Paradise. During his season, Joe was paired up with professional dancer Jenna Johnson. However, his performances were questionable, which rubbed some fans the wrong way. He later returned as a special guest on the Dancing with the Stars: Live! tour.
Joe's DWTS partner Jenna has been honest about his performances on the show. For instance, Joe completely forgot his moves during their very first dance of the season, which left Jenna feeling panicked and embarrassed. The couple made it to the semi-finals before being eliminated. Following their elimination, Joe admits that he didn't know if he could keep going on the show. Ultimately, he was relieved to have been eliminated. He told ET, "Do I think I’m the best dancer in the competition? No. Do I have the best smile? Probably… We thought we were going to get eliminated at week one, so I couldn’t have asked for it to go better."
Although they were very much in love, Joe and Kendall ended things in January 2020. In the joint statement that they released at the time, the couple stated that they were breaking up because Joe was moving back to Chicago. Currently, Joe is hosting a new podcast called Click Bait. The premise of the podcast is to "dissect the wildest, most ridiculous and bizarre headlines of the week in pop culture." Every week the podcast host guests and celebrities.
Dancing With The Stars contestant Joe Amabile won America's heart not once, nor twice, but thrice during his multiple televised appearances. Maybe his entrepreneurial energy could mean that we will possibly see him make another appearance on The Bachelor, or maybe he and Kendall can rekindle their romance.
