Dancing with the Stars contestant and Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause's ex-husband Justin Hartley showed off his new girlfriend on Instagram. As of this New Year's Eve, This Is Us actor Justin Hartley has made his relationship with Sofia Pernas official on social media. After his very public and messy divorce, the actor seems to be taking the lead from his now ex-wife and Chrishell Stause.

Stause and Hartley became entangled in divorce after a fight that they had, and the aftermath of the divorce was entirely documented on Netflix's Selling Sunset. Hartley decided to call it quits without even consulting his then-wife. She instead found out via a TMZ article, grabbed her personal belongings, and left the house pretty much never to return. A painful split has led to new lives for both celebrities, and Hartley has decided that it's time to officially share his new girlfriend Sofia Pernas. On Instagram, Hartley shared a picture with Pernas and wrote, "Last minutes of 2020 here in LA. Bring on 2021! Happy New Year!" The pair have known each other longer than Stause and Hartley were actually married.

In the end, it doesn't seem to matter as Stause herself has already posted several pictures of her and her new boyfriend DWTS dancer Keo Motsepe. His first appearance on her Instagram dates back to about a month ago. Motsepe is seen kissing her on the cheek and the caption pretty much seals the deal. While she didn't necessarily use the holidays as her post making it official, she did use it to take a big step, introducing him to her family. This is certainly a big year to do it as well, seeing as how this is the first Christmas that Stause's mother is watching from heaven.

While Hartley is behind, he is clearly taking the lead from Stause in terms of posting his relationship. It can be expected that he will follow suit with a meeting the parents' post as well. Of course, he should tread carefully seeing as how when Stause posted her holiday photo over Christmas, exclaiming that Motsepe was a blessing to have met her family, she got intense backlash. Many individuals responded to her post stating that she was tone-deaf to the current state of affairs.

While there is still plenty of anger between the two, or at least from one side of the equation, both couples seem very happy in their new relationships. Maybe it was all meant to be in the end. After all, had Stause never gotten divorced she may never have done Dancing With The Stars and had she never done that the chance of her meeting Motsepe is pretty slim. Either way, it's good to see everyone happy coming into the new year.
