The new limited edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figures, that will be released at this weekend's D23 Expo, have been revealed. One of the most prominent struggles our favorite heroes face in the galaxy far, far away is the decision between the light side and the dark side, now fans will get a chance to recreate those battles with these limited edition action figure packages which feature one hero from the light side and one hero from the dark side of the force.
Characters packages that you will be able to purchase at the D23 Expo - the ultimate bi-annual Disney fan event being held this year July 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center - include Princess Leia and Darth Vader from the original trilogy, Rey and Kylo Ren from the latest installments in the saga The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic from the first anthology film released last year, Rogue One.
A recent post on Nerdist revealed an exclusive first look at these light verses dark duos. Each set is priced at $79.95 and are limited to just 1,000, with each set accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. The figures stand at 10.25 to 11.50-inches tall and are extremely flexible with over 30 points of articulation, and the female characters also feature rooted hair (sorry Kylo). The Princess Leia and Darth Vader set includes Leia wearing her white outfit she sports in The Empire Strikes Back when the Rebels, led by the Princess herself, set up their new base on the ice planet Hoth. Her accessories include a pair of extra hands and her Defender sporting blaster pistol. Darth Vader is outfitted in his signature black armor and includes and extra pair of hands for gripping his red lightsaber, which is also included in two different styles (sheathed and unsheathed).
The Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic set includes Jyn in one of her tactical battle outfits with accessories including an extra set of hands and five different blasters. Orson Krennic is sporting his signature white commander outfit (cape included) with a holster for his blaster, his accessories include an extra set of hands and interchangeable parts for his blaster.
The most revealing set of them all has to be Rey and Kylo Ren, which has them wearing their outfits from the upcoming The Last Jedi in December. The set includes Rey in her updated outfit for the new film and her accessories include an extra set of hands, her lightsaber (which was once Luke Skywalker's), her staff and a blaster. On the dark side, Kylo Ren is wearing is black robes without his signature mask and includes and extra set of hands and his out-of-control red lightsaber sheathed and unsheathed.
