Contrary to recent reports, Ray Fisher claims he hasn't stepped away from his role as Cyborg and these claims are nothing but to distract from his allegations against DC Films head Walter Hamada attempting to meddle with the Justice League investigation. WarnerMedia responds to this by emphasizing that they're confident in the outcome of the inquiry and urges the actor to move on from the matter.

This all started back in July of 2020 after Fisher went public and accused Justice League interim director Joss Whedon of being toxic on the set. He also implicated both Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, adding that they didn't bat an eye while this was happening, and even enabled it. This prompted an investigation regarding the matter in August which the actor welcomed. Things got messier, however, the month after when Fisher once again took it to social media and accused Hamada of tampering with the investigation. According to him, the current DC Films boss attempted to throw Whedon and Berg under the bus but firmly remained behind Johns back. By December, the Justice League investigation has been completed, which was taken as an indication that this issue is finally getting resolved, but as it turns out, that may not be the case.

On the heels of the news that Cyborg has been written out of The Flash film with the DCEU not planning on recasting the character, Fisher came out and said that he has yet to step away from the role. In a series of tweets, he claimed that this is nothing but an attempt to distract people from Hamada remaining as the DC Films head despite his earlier accusations. He also floated the idea that news outlet The Wrap is part of this scheme.

In response to Fisher's latest comments, WarnerMedia put out an official statement, incidentally through The Wrap, saying that they have full confidence in the result of their investigation which was conducted by a third-party firm. The presser didn't get into specifics about Fisher's allegations about Hamada, however, and it's curious if they'll ever do. There's also no indication about whether or not reports that Cyborg has been written out of The Flash film is true. In the end, they simply urged the actor to move on.

“The investigation was conducted by an outside law firm and led by a former federal judge. More than 80 people were interviewed. We have full confidence in its thoroughness and integrity, and remedial action has been taken. The investigation has concluded, and it is time to move on.”

It doesn't seem like this issue is going away anytime soon as there's a good chance that Fisher will eventually release his own counter-argument regarding this matter. Amidst all this, it's also worth noting that Hamada has just extended his contract as DC Films head until 2023, and the Cyborg actor has previously said that he won't be appearing in any DCEU movie moving forward as long as Hamada is in charge which could mean that he's effectively out of the franchise — at least in the next several years. That said, fans can still catch him potentially for the last time in a while through Zack Snyder's four-part Justice League mini-series on HBO Max.
