The official Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 reveals that a new Night City Wire is coming on August 10, and it will bring with it a showcase of the types of weapons that players will be using as they explore the game's world. Cyberpunk 2077's previous Night City Wire gave players a decent amount of new information and glimpses at what the game's finished product could look like, and was key in keeping discussion of the game in focus during a busy early summer period for other games.

Cyberpunk 2077's weapons, despite having a lot of promise in terms of variety, are relatively unknown still. Previous discussions of Cyberpunk 2077 weapons have revealed that CD Projekt Red has divided them into three categories: power weapons, smart weapons, and tech weapons. Power weapons generally have some modifications that make them more effective in specific situations, while smart guns can shoot homing bullets. Tech weapons, in an example given by a developer in an earlier discussion, can pierce cover. Truthfully, however, the nature of Cyberpunk 2077 weapons is still pretty well-hidden, and there are plenty of possibilities that haven't been demonstrated just yet.

That appears as though it will change soon, however, as the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter revealed the next Night City Wire will air on August 10, 6pm CEST on Twitch. The tweet also provides a vague outline of what fans can expect from the broadcast, and states that it will "show you the types of weapons you will be using in the game," which sounds like a demonstration of Cyberpunk 2077 weapon gameplay could be coming.

The tweet also promises that the team will be sharing details on lifepaths, the backstory mechanic of Cyberpunk 2077 that will allow players to choose how protagonist V grew up. These choices will also affect the characters they meet, how those characters feel about them, locations they explore, and more - so it's a vital element of the game. Finally, the latest edition of Night City Wire will also show off  the band Refused transforming into SAMURAI as part of that group's Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration.

Overall, though, the biggest takeaway from the tweet is that there's the potential for fans to finally get a look at more Cyberpunk 2077 weapon demonstrations. The title's futuristic setting - and previous descriptions of weaponry - makes it possible for some truly impressive and exciting technology when it comes to combat, and any examples of that will ramp up anticipation for CD Projekt Red's game even further.
