A brand new Cyberpunk 2077 video has added famed 90s character Mr. Bean to the game thanks to clever editing. Even though players could, theoretically, alter the appearance of protagonist V to resemble the character played by Rowan Atkinson, in this case the video was made possible thanks to the power of visual effects.

Despite its rocky launch Cyberpunk 2077 has allowed players to do a lot of creative things thanks to both the creative suite of character creation options and a robust modding community. For instance, one mod added the famously-cut feature of the Night City Metro to Cyberpunk 2077. Even though footage on the metro was featured prominently in the marketing for Cyberpunk 2077 before launch, it was not included once the game was released. This was just one of several features that players were upset to not see featured in the final product and are hopeful will be added to Cyberpunk in future DLC. One player, though, added a feature to Cyberpunk 2077 that most players wouldn't even think of.

YouTuber eli_handle_b․wav shared their video, which edits in Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean to Cyberpunk 2077. The video starts with Mr. Bean getting dropped into Night City and interacting with several prominent Cyberpunk characters like Jackie Welles, Adam Smasher, and Johnny Silverhand. Luckily, Mr. Bean is often ready for these encounters with various clips being lifted from his show to make sure he fits right into Night City. For instance, when Johnny makes his famous call to wake up V, Mr. Bean is sound asleep in his bed and startles awake as Johnny announces that the two of them have a city to burn.

This creative edit really highlights the dichotomy between the two properties. While Cyberpunk 2077 is a very dark and gritty game, Mr. Bean was a light and silly show, which often featured the eponymous character getting into ridiculous predicaments before getting out of them in an equally ridiculous fashion. It's hard to imagine Mr. Bean navigating Night City's dark underbelly, although one can imagine the misunderstandings he might get into in this fantastical, futuristic world.

Even though players won't be able to see Mr. Bean in their version of Cyberpunk 2077, there is hope for the game's future. A recent job posting has players hopeful that Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and improvements will be coming from CD Projekt Red soon. For now, though, players can see how Mr. Bean would react to being dropped into Night City in this funny video.
