The developer of Cyberpunk 2077 is taking to Twitter for a special “CyberNight” launch party to celebrate the game’s release on December 10. CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG has been building a great deal of hype since its announcement, bolstered by the neon-lit postmodern setting of the Cyberpunk tabletop roleplaying franchise, a massive amount of character customization options, and the inclusion of Hollywood megastar Keanu Reeves as the cyborg rocker Johnny Silverhand.

The multitude of delays that Cyberpunk 2077 has suffered in the meantime has done little to quell this excitement, as players have already begun plotting out what character class they will take on and which of the game’s various street gangs they will be joining in main character V’s quest to take down the corrupt establishment in Night City. Now, the wait for the game is nearing its end, and fans will be able to party with the talented people who made the game as they count down the hours until Cyberpunk 2077 finally launches next week.

Earlier today, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account announced a special event in collaboration with Twitter Gaming dubbed “CyberNight.” This will be held on December 9, the day before Cyberpunk 2077 is set to hit stores, at 3 PM Pacific Time and 12 AM Central. Additionally, the developer gave a heartfelt thanks to the fans that have been posting in anticipation of the upcoming release and a brief trailer for the event, which can be seen in the tweet below:

The CyberNight Launch Party has been teased before, but this is the first official confirmation as to what it is and when it will take place. In addition to a strong marketing push on social media, Cyberpunk 2077 is being heavily hyped thanks to numerous well-rendered gameplay trailers and interviews that show off just how dedicated the crew at CD Projekt Red are in bringing this mesmerizing game to life. It helps that Keanu himself has already tried Cyberpunk 2077 out, and he apparently enjoyed rocking out alongside his in-game avatar as much as the gaming community likely will.

Fans have been waiting years to step inside the futuristic world of Cyberpunk 2077, so the CyberNight launch party is likely to draw quite a crowd given just how large the game’s fanbase is even before its release. Twitter followers will be able to join in the festivities on December 9, before finally getting their chance to play Cyberpunk 2077 the very next day.
