CD Projekt Red has outlined the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077including what specs PC players will need in order to run the game at 4K 60fps with ray tracing. After a long series of delays that pushed the game back further into the year, it appears that CD Projekt's futuristic role-playing game is finally approaching release. The game is expected to push the boundaries of what can be achieved when creating a living, breathing video game world.

As the game's final launch date approaches, CD Projekt Red is showing off a plethora of very impressive Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. The developer recently released a gameplay video which compares how the game runs on last-gen and current-gen consoles, specifically the Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. The game looks expectedly magnificent on current-gen hardware, with appropriately advanced reflections and animations standing out. The gameplay trailer suggests that another delay is unlikely, with the current December 10 release date appearing final.

CD Projekt Red recently took to Twitter to outline the PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077, and there are a multitude of options available. Hardware requirements for 1080p low, 1080p high, 1440p ultra and 4K ultra performance are all clearly spelled out. Each of those options also features an even higher threshold to activate ray tracing, which is used to enhance in-game lighting and reflections. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 with 4K resolution and ray tracing will require 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor and an RTX 3080 graphics card. 16 GB of memory, 10 GB of VRAM and 70 GB of SSD storage will also be needed to max out this monster of a game.

As the game's launch draws near, CD Projekt Red has begun marketing to ensure that Cyberpunk 2077 is on every gamer's radar. The developer has teamed up with famous video game content creator PewDiePie in order to advertise the game's release, with the partnership focusing on the sale of metal posters featuring art based on Night City, the neon-lit futuristic city where the game takes place. Another partnership between CD Projekt and Google Stadia has also popped up, with those who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 Stadia also receiving a free copy of Stadia Premiere Edition. This is of huge benefit to Google, as sales of the hotly anticipated game are sure to bolster profits on Google Stadia.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been anticipated for so long that its imminent release hardly seems real. However, the game's clearly outlined and specific system requirements point to a finally definite release date. Running the game at 4K with ray tracing will require an absolute powerhouse of a computer, but this should come as no surprise to those who have followed the game's development. As a truly futuristic title set in a truly futuristic city, it seems appropriate that max settings will require a futuristic gaming PC.
