Redditor FullMetalTS posted a picture of one of the Night City Police Department (NCPD) cars from Cyberpunk 2077 to show that the font color of the NCPD logo on the car changes from blue to red when the sirens are off. Cyberpunk 2077 was a highly anticipated game from developer CD Projekt Red, which is the same studio behind the acclaimed and popular game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although expectations for Cyberpunk 2077 were high before release, the community has been largely disappointed in the release of the game and the studio has been the target of considerable backlash since.

Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in Night City in the year 2077, where cyberware enhancements are commonplace and the city is run by different gangs controlling various pieces of territory. Gamers play as V, who can be completely personalized and customized, from hair and body style to skillsets and playstyle. Players have three options for where to start V's story: as a nomad, streetkid or corpo. Each leads to V starting a new life in Night City as a netrunner and mercenary. Despite the promising premise of the game, it was riddled with bugs upon release, and is generally considered a major disappointment, especially on last-gen consoles.

But the game is not without some fans, including Reddit user FullMetalTS, who asks "Can we take a minute and discuss how the NCPD color changes when the police siren is on/off?" When the NCPD siren is on, the logo on the side of the car is blue like the siren light. When the siren is off, the logo on the side of the car is red, just like the lights on top of the car. One user, Luc_Tonnerre, commented that players can listen to the police radio as well if V steals one of the police cars. Overall, comments on the post are on both sides of the boat in terms of how this reflects on the game overall. Redditor m31317015 commented, "game where it won't be finished but its details are magnificent." Another redditor, Col_J_Crighton, asked, "they can do that but they cant make the skills work...does CDPR not know what they are doing with this thing?"

Though some redditors commented generally wondering why CD Projekt Red was being praised for a simple thing like lights changing from blue to red when the overall game state is a mess, others commented regarding the bigger picture of what details like this mean for what CD Projekt Red originally had in mind for the game. FitMongoose9 said "Details like this make me believe the CDPR we know from Witcher 3 is still here," and that is the goal for the game overall. Cyberpunk 2077 was meant to be as successful as The Witcher 3, if not more so; small details that increase game immersion and story development were key to The Witcher 3's success.

Most who have played Cyberpunk 2077 can agree that the game is not where it should be. When it was released, it contained an inexcusable number of bugs, and there were side stories that seemed incomplete. It's extremely disheartening when an anticipated game from a studio like CD Projekt Red delivers a game in this state. But, knowing that there are details like this in the game that some gamers may not have noticed gives hope that there are more small details out there, that CD Projekt Red did want to put that extra care in Cyberpunk 2077 and that the developer won't let it sit in this state forever.
