The main story of Cyberpunk 2077 takes players through the sprawling futuristic urban landscape of Night City. There's a lot for players to do in the game, but there will always be some players who want to speed through and beat a game's primary quest as soon as possible. Those players are likely wondering, does Cyberpunk 2077 has a New Game Plus option after beating the main story for the first time?

Based on the tabletop RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 centers on a mercenary called V. Over the course of the game, players must navigate the many dangers and pitfalls of Night City. A host of memorable characters are in the game, including the rockstar Johnny Silverhand, famously played by Keanu Reeves. There's a lot for players to do, but some people are already looking ahead to see what happens after beating Cyberpunk 2077.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 is made by CD Projekt Red, the studio famous for The Witcher 3, fans are already preparing themselves for a long adventure. Even though it was a long game, The Witcher 3 had a New Game Plus, so fans were expecting a similar option in Cyberpunk 2077. For now, though, there's no such option available in the game. However, that all could change in the near future.

Cyberpunk 2077 Review Round-up

Despite getting mostly positive reviews, Cyberpunk 2077 is missing some key features gamers have come to expect in recent AAA titles. This includes a New Game Plus mode, which is included in other AAA titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It was even a part of CD Projekt Red's most famous title, The Witcher 3. Even though Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't have a New Game Plus yet, though, it doesn't mean one won't be patched in with a future update.

For now, beating the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 nets the player select reward items based on their in-game choices. The last save begins before the final moments of the game, with no New Game Plus mode currently available to progress after the story's finale. Although, Cyberpunk 2077 certainly wouldn't be the first AAA game to patch in a New Game Plus feature at a later date. Most recently, Ghost of Tsushima added a New Game Plus mode months after release, so CD Projekt Red could theoretically do the same thing with Cyberpunk 2077.

Players looking for a New Game Plus in Cyberpunk 2077 at launch may be disappointed. Currently, that feature isn't available. However, New Game Plus could be added into Cyberpunk 2077 at a later date, even if it isn't in the game right now.
