Cyberpunk 2077 mod restores visuals that were revealed in 2019 but never delivered in the final game. CD Projekt Red's sci-fi role-playing game was highly anticipated upon release, but the game's launch was infamously plagued by technical issues and a lack of polish. Many fans have created Cyberpunk 2077 mods in an attempt to fix the disappointing title, and now a graphics overhaul successfully delivers on CD Projekt Red's old promises.

Set within the Cyberpunk tabletop role-playing game universe, Cyberpunk 2077 takes players to the futuristic and relentlessly seedy metropolis of Night City. While the game's narrative and setting were praised, an endless onslaught of technical issues led to a truly disastrous and higlhy-criticized launch. However, since release CD Projekt Red has worked to improve the Cyberpunk 2077 experience through free updates and patches. Many of the game's bugs have been addressed in these updates, and additional new content is planned to improve the game into the future. A Cyberpunk 2077 expansion releasing in 2023 is also expected to provide a fresh Night City experience for gamers to discover.

Cyberpunk 2077 mod, created by Nexus Mods user Agsilv (via Wccftech), recreates the visuals seen in the game's 2019 Deep-Dive video. The unique weather mod, titled R19 - 2019 Visuals Restored, makes Night City feel grimier and more grounded when compared to the final game's design. Altered weather effects make the sky hazy, with the sci-fi setting's neon lights really popping at night. Days are also a bit gloomier, creating an aesthetic that reflects the beloved Cyberpunk 2077 Deep-Dive video from 2019 that proceeded the game's infamous launch. Players can download the mod now, though it does have some reported technical issues.

Cyberpunk 2077 2019 Visuals Restored Mod day

While many Cyberpunk 2077 mods strive to improve the game's visuals, other creators seek to add or improve gameplay mechanics. For example, a Cyberpunk 2077 Vehicle Combat mod makes it much more exciting to speed through the mean streets of Night City during a high-speed pursuit. The mod lets players aim and fire weapons while driving, a feature that was apparently implemented by CD Projekt Red but ultimately cut. The car chase system has also been improved, with police and rival gangs following the player more aggressively and calling for backup if the wanted level gets high enough.

Cyberpunk 2077 takes players to the futuristic slums of Night City, but the game's visuals failed to reflect the setting's dirty and bleak atmosphere. However, players can now visit a darker version of the sprawling metropolis thanks to Agsilv and their 2019 Visuals Restored mod. Players were amazed by the 2019 Deep-Dive into CD Projekt Red's sci-fi RPG, and the mod lets the actual game look like that old exciting preview build.
