There are plenty of mysteries and unexpected surprises within Cyberpunk 2077, including a hidden room with card playing robots. Cyberpunk 2077 has been out for two months now and, sadly for developer CD Projekt Red, it has been a very bumpy road for all involved. After several delays, the game finally launched in December, but was immediately condemned as bug after bug was reported. This catastrophic launch caused PlayStation to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from its online store, and CD Projekt Red became the subject of multiple lawsuits.

Yet, even with the rockiest of launches, there are still some great moments to be had while playing Cyberpunk 2077 - be that taking Johnny Silverhand on a rollercoaster ride or following a romance storyline to its completion. Sometimes though, great moments are found within Cyberpunk 2077 that the developers never actually intended to happen.

Thanks to one of the numerous glitches in Cyberpunk 2077, players can access a supposedly off-limits motel room; room 1242. Even though this room is meant to be inaccessible, CD Projekt Red still decided to fill it with an amusing and very unexpected scene. Rather than an empty space, players can use a car to glitch through the locked door and find two robots casually smoking cigarettes and playing cards together, as shown by redditor DeconTheGame. One robot even goes on to warn the player to stay silent “for your own safety.”

This is not a new discovery in Cyberpunk 2077 and has been commented on before. It is nonetheless amusing now, though, as it was when it was first discovered, soon after the game’s launch. There are theories that this inclusion is meant to be an Easter egg, which would explain why the developers decided to include the robotic NPCs in a room where there would normally be a vacant space, but the jury is still out on what the Easter egg is actually meant to be. It is unclear if the robots are always there, or if they spawn at random.

As fun as this Cyberpunk 2077 discovery is, it is probably not raising any smiles for the team at CD Projekt Red. Unfortunately, the news for the Polish developers keeps going from bad to worse. Most recently, the company has been the victim of hackers. These hackers are currently holding a variety of CDPR’s files and data at ransom, with Gwent: The Witcher Card Game’s source code already being leaked as a result of this attack.
