There are some quests in Cyberpunk 2077 that are hidden and easy to miss. While it's easy to track and find typical side jobs in Cyberpunk 2077, some hidden ones are not only not marked on the map but also have hidden requirements. These missable quests range from comedic to heartbreaking, and offer the best missions in the game.

These quests offer another perspective to the world of Cyberpunk 2077, but they are also the hardest-to-find jobs in the game. While the quest titled "Machine Gun" is marked on the map, it has a hidden requirement to progress. The quest titled "Bullets," after the song in the Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer back in 2013, is missable depending on the player's gameplay choices. Lastly, "The Highwayman" is the most secret quest, as it is not only started through a specific spot but requires some knowledge of Night City to navigate. By and large, these hidden Cyberpunk quests are some of the most creative in the game, which makes them all the more worth finding.

Cyberpunk Hidden Quest: Machine Gun

The steps to find the "Machine Gun" hidden quest in Cyberpunk are simple enough: find Cyberpunk 2077's talking pistol named Skippy, who has two modes: lethal and non-lethal. However, since the quest is in Heywood, the heart of Night City, players won't encounter this smart pistol until further into the game. The part that makes this Cyberpunk quest missable is that the hidden second half of "Machine Gun" won't trigger unless the player has used Skippy to disable or kill 50 enemies, and since it's likely by this point players have already found another weapon they prefer to use more, many people might not get to see the conclusion. See the YouTube video from Hippo Reddy below to see all the outcomes of Skippy's quest:

Missable Cyberpunk Quest: Bullets

"Bullets" is a completely missable hidden quest in Cyberpunk depending on whether the player is an avid clothing shopper or not. To trigger the quest, V must speak to Zane Jagger, the clothing vendor of Jinguji in downtown Night City, a second time. With some tech skill, you can talk to the MaxTac officer about her Mantis blade arms (a small easter egg referencing the original Cyberpunk 2077 trailer) and there's even a dialogue choice related to joining MaxTac that, as the video below from Northalix on YouTube shows, doesn't seem to have any real effect. Jinguji will reopen after a few days, and V will get a discount for their trouble. See all the dialog options available in this missable Cyberpunk quest here:

Similar to Bullets, "The Highwayman" hidden quest requires a few specific actions before it starts. Moreover, players need to be prepared to trek across Night city as the quest takes full advantage of Cyberpunk 2077's big open world. The player must find and scan a bike near a weapons shop by the Petrochem dam in Rancho Coronado East, then look at a nearby photo to trigger the quest. Once the quest is started, the player must follow clues to specific spots in Night City to progress and ultimately get Cyberpunk 2077's secret bike, the Nazare Itsumade, and solve the mystery of what happened to its owner. Players who don't mind being spoiled on the specifics can watch this hidden Cyberpunk quest unfold in the video from Bloofa below:

Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with easter eggs and hidden quests that build on the player's experience. The "Machine Gun" quest features some of the funniest dialogue in the game. "Bullets," while serious, has its own fun nods for deeply invested Cyberpunk 2077 fans. However, "The Highwayman" quest is the crème of the crop when it comes to hidden choices in Cyberpunk relying on patience and the player's knowledge of Night City and patience. Players who don't mind getting spoiled can watch it above, but if you missed this Cyberpunk quest yourself, it might be worth going back and playing it for the first time fresh.
