Since Cyberpunk 2077 released earlier this month, the Internet continues to be bombarded with an abundance of glitches recorded from CD Projekt RED's open-world action RPG. The highly anticipated title was announced nearly a decade ago, was pushed back numerous times, and still went through with one of the year's most hapless launches.

The issues are so extensive that CD Projekt RED is offering full Cyberpunk 2077 refunds, has lost $1 billion following the disastrous debut, and is facing a potential class-action lawsuit due to misrepresentation for financial gain. Yet despite the plethora of troubling problems, the various reported glitches offer an interesting if not utterly entertaining take on the dystopian Night City setting.

Although understandably frustrating to many as some of these issues render the game unplayable, a majority of the glitches range from hilarious to horrifying. Arguably the two can go hand in hand in this case. From rogue genitalia peeking out of protagonist V's trousers to random cars flying out of the sky, some of these bugs give Cyberpunk 2077 an unintentionally compelling experience. Here are some of the creepiest glitches found in Cyberpunk 2077 so far.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: "I'm Waiting"

The combination of the ominous music and this Arasaka Corportation Agent's floating eyeballs and bare teeth feels like a scene suppressed from someone's dark, fevered nightmare. Flashes of what is presumably the same character standing in Cyberpunk 2077's infamous T-pose glitch add to both the hilarity and eeriness of this murky scene. The NPC's "I'm waiting," line was probably meant to have a looming, impending intent, although not in the freaky manner portrayed with this common face-vanishing bug.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: The Lady In The Pillows

This out-of-place face appears in this player's pillows to offer an alarming welcome whenever they go home. The fact that users are denoting their favorite glitch as if it were their favorite character speaks volumes about the game's issues, making Cyberpunk 2077 the biggest meme of December 2020. With all the crazy shenanigans that go on in Night City, having a random woman's face in a pillow might not seem too inappropriate, but this haunting image just raises so many questions.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: Random Drifting Man

It's difficult to follow what should be a serious conversation when an arbitrary figure manifests out of nowhere and awkwardly floats off into the distance. This is a common glitch many players have experienced; and one that would be purely entertaining if the game didn't crash right after. Cyberpunk 2077's many unfortunate issues continue to range from fluky amusement to downright annoyance as illustrated by this Tweet.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: Persistent Stalker

This creepy stalker issue has been plaguing many a Cyberpunk 2077 player, but watching streamers react only continues to breathe life into this frequent and bizarre glitch. Dum Dum is a minor NPC encountered early on in the game, but some players are finding this Maelstrom gang member to be a bit lonely, relentlessly following them wherever they go. Seeing him appear behind V in the mirror is as bone-chilling as it is gut-busting.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: Night City's Vehicles Are Wild

The cars of the future sure aren't made like they were 57 years ago. Biotechnology seems to have come a long and lumbering way if a dangling human being can be entangled and then birthed from a Villefort Alvarado V4F 570 Delegate. The way these glitches appear alongside characters and environments proceeding as usual makes for such strange occurrences in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch: Broken Mirror, Broken Game

What is already a somewhat grisly scene just got ten times creepier with this scintillating glitch that just might be seizure-inducing. If this glitch does cause that effect then it's probably the scariest on the list. It certainly adds an unintentional chilling effect to V's self-reflective, hardened stare. These are just a few of the many unsettling glitches strewed throughout Cyberpunk 2077's broken state.
