CD Projekt Red is Showing off Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay on Twitch

Cyberpunk 2077 Character

Those waiting for a comprehensive look at Cyberpunk 2077 in action have finally had their prayers answered, after CD Projekt Red took to Twitch to showcase a serious gameplay reveal. The steam of the game sat pretty at the top of Twitch rankings, with Cyberpunk 2077 ranking at nearly double the number of viewers of the nearest game thanks to the video.

A major gameplay reveal has been at the top of the wish list for most fans of CD Projekt Red's work, with the hugely anticipated game's development much talked about. Recently, the title has become much more finite in the eyes of gamers, particularly after the release of some stunning screenshots of Cyberpunk 2077 in action. However, how the title functions was still something of a mystery

Thankfully, that has now been resolved courtesy of CD Projekt Red's Twitch stream. It's not an entirely new experience for everyone keeping track of Cyberpunk 2077 overall, as it's the same demo that was previewed at E3 2018 and Gamescom, but this is a first look at the game for the larger world. Those interested can check out the video below, with the Twitch stream uploaded to YouTube by the developer.

The gameplay video takes players through the closed doors gameplay demo, with a solid 48 minutes of action that shares a little of what the world of Cyberpunk 2077 will offer to players. As expected, the gameplay is very different from The Witcher series, but nonetheless there already appears to be an emphasis on depth that CD Projekt Red is known for.

All in all, it's made the game into an even more enticing prospect for potential players. Cyberpunk 2077 is a serious departure from what CD Projekt Red has done before, but its action still seems very much on point, with a hardboiled vibe that has previously resonated well within the larger world of cyberpunk storytelling. Hopefully, the overall themes of cyberpunk are held within its plot as well.

That said, this isn't the final product just yet - something that CD Projekt Red has been clear to point out - and as such there might be a fair few tweaks before the game sees release. Exactly when that launch date will be has yet to be revealed, with some suspecting there could be a lengthy wait ahead. Whenever the game's release happens, no doubt gamers will be hoping it manages to surpass even the gameplay shown here.
